Guest ECBucFan
The EC community is losing our PA announcer Brad Drake to another community. "Pastor Brad" has served as a Youth Minister for Cornerstone Church in Winnie (actually Stowell) since 2003, and began announcing Sub varsity games for EC shortly thereafter. His ample PA talent was quickly recognized and he has been the varsity voice of the Bucs for several years now. More importantly than the PA announcing, Brad has been a awesome influence on the young people of this community. He has touched many young lives here. Spend anytime at all with Brad and you will clearly see the dedication he has for being the Christian influence he is. Pastor Brad has been called to serve as a full time pastor in Santa Fe, TX. It will be a natural fit for Brad, as the Santa Fe Indians are green & gold, too! ;)God Bless, Pastor Brad, and THANKS for your time here! His bio, from the Cornerstone website:Brad and Meredith Drake -Associate / Youth PastorMPACT student ministries is led by youth pastors Brad and Meredith Drake. Brad first accepted the call to ministry in 1990 at the age of 17. After graduating high school, Brad attended Southwestern Assemblies of God University. In 1996, he accepted his first full-time ministry position at First Assembly of God, Conroe, TX where he served as a teacher and coach in the Christian school and Youth Pastor for the church. In 2001, Brad assumed the position of Interim Youth Pastor at Cathedral in the Pines, Beaumont, TX and also coached Varsity Girls’ Athletics at Cathedral Christian High School. In July of 2003, Brad married the love of his life, Meredith, and they felt the call of God to come to Winnie. In August of that year they began their ministry at Cornerstone Church. Their vision is to not only see students come to Christ, but also to disciple them in that relationship and give them a solid foundation for life. In addition to their "kids" at MPACT, Brad and Meredith have a four year old daughter and a one year old son.
