I like German chocolate cake or carrot cake myself. GO PIRATES !!!

I like red velvet myself....should be a interesting game, little advice to the lions....this Vidor team stops at nothing!!!....I mean if the Apocalypse were to happen tonight the last two things on earth would probably be cockroaches and the 2011 Vidor Pirates seriously.
LOL that is hilarious but oh so true!!  You would look around and see the Pirates all suited up ready to play and all the fans right beside them in our Pirate gear!!  :D

Oh yeah, we can't forget about Mathews and his lucky shorts. God love him, that man is so superstitious.  It goes beyond just the shorts.  He has a few more "Friday Rituals" he does. LOL  I have known that man for almost 15 years and he has always been that way.

We would all look around and think, "heck, we knew Livingston didn't want to play us, but to just not show up? How rude."  LOL

Lmao wow. This is great. You guys from PNG sure do crack me up. But you know its true. Vidor fans may not be as big as PNG but i can guarantee you that the Vidor fan base will show up with good numbers no matter where we play. Weather its Beaumont or Lufkin (played texas high there) we will show up and support our Pirates that's for sure. And i am willing to bet that if they didn't show up the Vidor fans would stand around for 2 hours talking to the players and probably tailgating and listening to the other 20-4A games lmao.

Hot Chocolate will definitely be a big seller that's for sure. I'll talk to the booster club pres about bringing it in for friday. And i never wear more than a pirate t shirt and a letterman or hoodie. I never bundle up lol. I may regret it that night as i cough my head off but that's what i wear to every game. Call me superstitious or whatever but if i wear something else i'll feel wrong the entire game and if we lose i'll be blaming myself for wearing something different lol. Just like PNG. I wore a beanie and we lost and that night i blamed myself all night long lol. But anyways Yes it is gonna be a cold one. I look forward to sitting on those cold a$$ benches all night long and feeling it by the end of the game lol. A good idea for getting rid of that is bring a pillow and sitting on it lol.

GO PIRATES!!!!!!

Please do talk to the Booster Club about the hot chocolate for the Pirates & Panthers (Ozen) lol. It wasn't nearly as cold last week in Nederland but I was pretty hurt that all they had was COLD sodas and water, they would have been pretty upset had I snuck my thermos in.

I look forward to sitting on those cold censored benches all night long and feeling it by the end of the game lol. A good idea for getting rid of that is bring a pillow and sitting on it lol.

GO PIRATES!!!!!!

I have  7 and 6 year old so they get all bundled up, earmuffs and all. LOL  I'm with ya though!!! Yeah we bring an extra blanket so we can all sit on it.

LETS GO PIRATES, LETS GO!!!!!!

(man, 7:30 tomorrow can't get here fast enough!!)

LOL That was the mental image I had....and Matthews in shorts...

HAHA!!! yep!! I think we will all be some bundled-up Pirates tomorrow night, it's gonna be a cold one!!  I won't wear gloves though because then I can't clap for my Pirates!! LOL  Break out the hot chocolate and some awesome Pirate football!!  ;D

I got yall covered on the Hot Chocolate issue. There will be plenty lol. And just got the word straight from Jeff Mathews mouth. The Vidor Pirates will be coming to play tomorrow night and playing for win. We are not gonna rest our starters. Bolinger may get some rest because of the injury but that's about it. But who knows what Jeff will do if we need him. Just be ready for a game tomorrow Livingston cuz we are bringing it all at yall.

With that being said....GO PIRATES!!!!!  8)

Let get em Pirates
Heck yeah. All yall gotta do is win and we gotta win and then Ozen's gotta win and Livingston is no more. I'm pulling for Ozen. They look like they would represent 20-4A well. Especially with a QB and a RB and a receiving core like that. I mean look at Michael's. He wasn't even on the top 15 in receiving yards and he jumped to #3 in one game. That takes skill right there.

They don't normally sell hot chocolate at the concession stand anymore?  I bet the nachos don't taste the same either.  :(

I remember going to football games in the early 90s to watch my brothers and my parents making me wear sweat pants underneath blue jeans.  It sucked!

I am pretty sure that anyone who has ever played for or against a Vidor team knows that Vidor doesn't lay down for anyone, regardless of whether they have anything to gain or whether they have any chance of winning.  They play hard until there is no time left on the clock.
I'll amen that :o

Very true.

I must have a pissed a few people off over the last couple of days with some of my comments on this page because 2 days ago I had -0- on my negative Karma but now it seems like every hour I get a new -1...up to -10 in just two short days. LOL
Me too.  I went from -86, to -99 in the last week!

    • naw, maaaaybe 7, definitely not 8 deep.  today im avoiding sitting by #10s parents, had to move away yesterday.   "put my son back in jub, put my son back in"  and then crying on every little touch of someone.    lets ball out today ktz!
    • Very close game until the 2nd half (mostly the 4th) when Orangefield came unraveled. Worse defensive effort I have seen out of the Bobcats in three years. This team has to get back on D and quit getting beat over the top when pressing. Offensively, non ball handlers continually turn it over and their shot selection is poor. Basic basketball, such as: defensive hustle, boxing out, and taking care of the basketball are the areas the Bobcats need to work on most. Whitmire will get them on point, but he shouldn't have to coach effort at the Varsity Level.  We'll be at McNeese this Friday night at 6pm.
    • I don’t benefit from it, that’s not my area.  But the average cost to imprison someone is around $15k per year (on average in the US) and capital cases cost somewhere between $1.5-$3M with over half being overturned or reduced to life in prison anyway.  These numbers may be inflated since the last report I read but I’m sure it would be on both sides and higher on the DP side if anything. So what’s the point?  We feel better because we got to return the favor on someone (hopefully) who committed a heinous crime?  And I don’t know I can say we have “complicated” it. Which appeal should we cut out?  Our justice system has a pecking order and we have higher courts for a reason. When we are about to impose the ultimate judgment, should we cut steps that other cases have to save a buck?  Or do we not pay for an indigent person’s experts at the trial court level because it’s too expensive? Or do we just lock them up and throw away the key (unless we later find out they weren’t actually guilty, in which case we have a key and a life we haven’t unjustly ended) and save a ton of money?  Seems to me to be an obvious solution but I’m more of a pragmatist.
    • 1 thing for certain. Coach Earned 3 more years to figure it out lol
