knightrider Posted October 29, 2011 Report Posted October 29, 2011 Always nice to be able to play in your yard the first play-off game !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Love home field advantage!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;)
dawgnut Posted October 29, 2011 Report Posted October 29, 2011
PLAY AT DA' BUTCH!!! ;D
Crosby forced us into playing at their stadium, why would we want to play at Butch, the distance is not any different and the home field is worth more!
football04 Posted October 29, 2011 Report Posted October 29, 2011 I'm probably in the minority, but I would rather play playoff games in a different stadium than at home, even at Lamar or The Butch.
Knoddy1 Posted October 29, 2011 Report Posted October 29, 2011 If given the opportunity to play at home would be great..it would also benefit all our concession stand groups which are cut out of everything if we play somewhere else.
pirate68 Posted October 29, 2011 Report Posted October 29, 2011 The irony for Crosby would be if they had to come to Vidor for a playoff game..I remember a few years ago they declined to play us citing safety concerns for some of there players....
dawgnut Posted October 30, 2011 Report Posted October 30, 2011 I think most of you guys are missing the point, if I understand it correctly Crosby didn't want to agree on a neutral site last time so they forced the coin flip. They won and made us travel to their stadium to play. Why should we pick a neutral site and do them a favor? I would make them come to the Pound and get the full effect of all the Dog fans ;D

1motime Posted October 30, 2011 Report Posted October 30, 2011 You would have to be out of your mind to turn down home field any time
Razor Posted October 30, 2011 Report Posted October 30, 2011 Exactly...if the opponent does turn out to be Crosby, you most definitely play it at your home field
bulldawg64 Posted October 30, 2011 Report Posted October 30, 2011 if we get crosby it will be at homea no brainer! but if we get the goose we could flip home for home. or play neutralmaybe at the butch.
dawgnut Posted October 31, 2011 Report Posted October 31, 2011 There's not many stadiums between the Goose and the Dogs that can handle the crowd. Playing at the Butch would be an advantage for us I would guess the Goose would want to flip for home because anything else would be to our good.
football04 Posted October 31, 2011 Report Posted October 31, 2011 I heard we where trying to get LU for GCM or Lee.
godawggo Posted October 31, 2011 Report Posted October 31, 2011 Do we know when this first game will be played? November 12th?
Bigdog Posted October 31, 2011 Report Posted October 31, 2011 Either the 11th or 12th, most likely it would be a Saturday game.
Michele Posted October 31, 2011 Report Posted October 31, 2011 If memory serves me correctly, we play the first round of playoffs on a Friday night, which would make it Friday, November 11th.....please correct me if I am wrong about that :)

If all 4 games want to use the Butch or Stallworth, then the games will have to be planned accordingly.

navydawg31 Posted November 1, 2011 Report Posted November 1, 2011 When was the last time Nederland hosted a home playoff game?
Gtj007 Posted November 1, 2011 Report Posted November 1, 2011 I remember Nederland playing Ozen at home in '99 I think.
navydawg31 Posted November 1, 2011 Report Posted November 1, 2011 Over a decade ago man long overdue the town of nederland really deserves to host a playoff game and show them just how loud it can get at Bulldog stadium,
1motime Posted November 1, 2011 Report Posted November 1, 2011 How would that work for season ticket holders ?
