I think the UIL has recognized that the current 19-4a teams are now superior to 20-4a. Hence the change.

I believe Buna turned in numbers that will likely move them to 3A. Any thoughts on what will happen to our local 3A district? Will Buna be added and carry 7 teams or will we see some type of shake-up?

I think they mixed up some realignment numbers. Last time around, PN-G's enrollment was 1401 and Vidor's was 1415.

I just wondered why they would add Deer Park, and not keep them in the District with the Pasadena Schools.  Well, with only 6 teams in a district, and 4 making the playoffs, I guess adding another team that's not too far away, makes sense. 

Also, I just checked, and every 5A district in the State has at least 7 teams.  I think most of them have 8, and 1 had 9 teams.  District 23-5A, the Fort Bend Schools, would have had 10 teams, except now it looks like Willowridge and Marshall have dropped to 4A.

When the UIL first started taking 4 playoff teams from each district in 5A, they swore that they would make sure that every 5A district had 8 or more teams. It didn't take them long to break that promise.

Alot of speculation. We have to wait til next year to find out. The numbers for each classification could change alot. Hard to say. If the numbers for big school 3A change and go up then you could have schools like LCM, Ozen, Lumberton and Livingston ending up in big school 3A districts. Just alot to think about til then. The UIL does not think in logical terms JMO. Kinda think in terms of a oxymoron. LOL !
