In my opinion, Livingston should be in the same district with Magnolia, Magnolia West, Montgomery, etc, or with Huntsville, Willis, and the Humble schools.  Livingston is at most, 30 minutes from Huntsville and 30 minutes from Willis.  Livingston is at least 1 1/2 hours from Beaumont, and probably 2 hours from Nederland, Port Neches, and LCM.  That is a lot of traveling, especially for volleyball, basketball and softball, when you play twice in the same season.

i think that the UIL will really take this into consideration, especially with the budget cuts from the government.  It will be interesting for sure.

If Buna goes 3A I could see them taking Kirbyville's place in 18-3A or I could see Buna and Jasper joining 21-3A and making an 8 team district

Just so you folks know, this "mock" realignment that is at OldCoach is just one man's opinion on how he sees how the realignment in February will go down. He's been close before on some things, not others.

The UIL realignment does not come out till February.

deer park use to be WB district in the 90's with LP and Baytown schools.
deer park use to be in WB's district in the early 90's along with LP.

I just wondered why they would add Deer Park, and not keep them in the District with the Pasadena Schools.  Well, with only 6 teams in a district, and 4 making the playoffs, I guess adding another team that's not too far away, makes sense. 

Also, I just checked, and every 5A district in the State has at least 7 teams.  I think most of them have 8, and 1 had 9 teams.  District 23-5A, the Fort Bend Schools, would have had 10 teams, except now it looks like Willowridge and Marshall have dropped to 4A.

If that happens get ready for some good volleyball and distance races. I don't see that happening. Looking at mapquest (I know it may not be exactly accurate) for Huffman to leave their district they would have some MAJOR traveling. I think Huffman and Liberty stay where they are and Buna goes North and our district stays the same. It's going to an exciting day in Feb.

Seems like it will become a stacked district on both sides. This would be a tough district in football, volleyball, cross country, baseball, softball, and track. I'm not sure if Huffman and Liberty would make the district tougher in basketball (I haven't watched either one of them play in a while), but I do believe you would see teams sitting at home that would be playoff teams if in a different district.

SA will not be in class 2a. they will be in class A.could see them in a district with west sabine, hull-daisetta, west hardin etc

I think Garrison came in over 200 which will put them in 2A. Shelbyville was also close. I heard Timpson was going down to 1A Div 2. I think I saw Joaquin at 199. If these all came to pass it would probably send SA and WS south.
