PURPLE 4EVER
If...GCM, Dayton, BH, and Livingston all stay 4A, and assumming all the current 20-4A teams stay 4A, one team from outside the triangle must be pulled in to make 20-4A have an even number of teams. Before Livingston, it was Dayton. I guess Dayton did "political procedures" to get out of 20-4A. BH probably has the $$$ and the policital clout not to be placed over there.IMO...I wish Dayton would have stayed over in 20-4A. It's better competition, and practically every away game you play in front of a packed home side. That sure beats going to CE King and playing in front of 2 dozen or going to North Forest and playing in front of 30. Sure, the away games are over an hour each, but the fans in the triangle are the most passionate around and they support their teams.

badndn
So explain to me again why 20 4A has to have 8 teams? There are 7 team districts all over this state. With the Houston schools going 3A you could see North Forest and/or CE King moving over into the Houston districts. This would open up 19 4A to have 7 or 8 teams with Livingston.4 non district games is not a problem.

atb63
I know the alignment that was posted is not official. In my opinion, Livingston should be in the same district with Huntsville, Willis, Magnolia and either the Montgomery schools, or the Humble Schools. I posted the estimated travel times in the Alignment thread as being a big budget issue and concern, especially with the sports (volleyball, basketball, and softball) where you play twice (home and away) in the same season. Also, due to the distance, the time that the athletes have to miss at least 1 or 2 classes, get home late at night, and get up early to go to school the next day. When I think about that, all I can do is shake my head.
