[/quote]I would not say a late hit is a dirty hit.  There could be a late hit on a hustle play just got a there a little late. If that was the case the Dayton would be considered dirty....  3 late hits against Crosby this year, all on the QB at the end of the game, one helmet to helmet.
We got one too. The tackler was in motion 2 yards away, the qb lets go of the ball, and while still in the motion of the tackle hits the qb at the should pads but does not wrap up and the QB never goes down.  Still a flag.  It is considered a late hit.  I would not call that dirty though.

Last year against crosby a horse collar broke our running backs leg but it was not a dirty hit had he hit him while he was clearly out of bounds I woulf feel much different

[/quote]there you go making crap up again... He was in bounds and it was not a horse collar.... If anything could be said that was Crosby's fault, he missed the tackle head up, he had to dive to get his waist... It was just unfortunate that JK was cutting up the field at the time.

Not sure about Lamarque without Wright. Angleton looks to be tuff at 10-0 with wins against Terry and Dayton, but they give up a lot of points (score alot too, with lots of weapons). Terry beat Lamarque in week 0 and there only loss was one point barn burner to Angleton.

Yeah and Angleton had Terry down big by 17 points in the first half and 14 points in the second until Terry made that dramatic comeback late in the 4th before Angleton pulled it out in OT. To put 50 points on that Terry squad was very impressive to watch. I think whoever plays Angleton from 24-4A will have a tough time beating them, thats including Manvel and Dawson.

The key phrase in your post is "I heard".  I was at the game and saw the film.  The QB had one foot out of bounds after making a nice play to get out of trouble in the backfield...our LB was coming from all the way across the field and it was a bang-bang play.  The QB went out of bounds a split second before our LB got there and we were flagged accordingly for it.  It wasn't dirty, it was a late hit on a hustle play from the backside LB.  You typically see AT LEAST one of these a game.  That doesn't make everyone dirty.

GoDogs27, I don't think mytwocents meant we would take any team lightly in the playoffs however, I like our chances on a neutral field. We lost to both you and PNG by one score on your home fields respectively. From my experiences, part of your list needs to include self confidence...you can't win unless you believe it. Personally, I would like to see all four 20-4A teams at Da Butch for a Saturday love fest verses 19-4A. Best stadium around half way between the schools.

Good Post, never know what can happen come playoff time. Crosby didn't look poised to take down the dogs last year but they managed.

Same could be true of Vidor or Nederland this year, big offenses are hard to stop when they have solid gameplans. =p
