5 on 5 Posted November 3, 2011 Report Posted November 3, 2011 I saw the segment on Fox 4 tonight highlighting Coach Lynch. I played for Coach Lynch back in the late 70's, and my son has just finished his 8th grade year playing for Coach Lynch. I have told my son various "Coach Lynch stories" and am very thankful he now has some "Coach Lynch stories" of his own!! You have to have played for this man to understand the impact he has had on not only Nederland athletics but more importantly helping young boys turn into young men. I remember Coach Lynch saying, "If I havent quit yelling at you, I haven't given up on you". If my memory is correct, I can still see him walking through the locker room singing "Lay Down Sally". Good times, good memories. From 2 generations, THANK YOU COACH LYNCH.
Bulldog8 Posted November 4, 2011 Report Posted November 4, 2011 I played at Central and did not get to have the privellage of being coached by Lynch, but I am grateful my son did the last 2 years. Thanks Coach Lynch
