Coach Mathews is VERY superstictious, it is so funny!!  He has been that way for many, many years.  He has a few other things he does too every Friday!

Coach Mathews is VERY superstictious, it is so funny!!  He has been that way for many, many years.  He has a few other things he does too every Friday!

Same here man. I've been wearing the same shirt, hat, jacket, jeans, and boots to every game and sitting in the same spot in home games lol.

I agree, I bet he stills comes out in his shorts.  I have known Mathews for almost 15 years and he cracks me up with the superstition thing but hey, it works!!  Keep on wearin' those shorts Mathews!!

It could be -38 and he'll be wearing those shorts. I'm just wondering if he's washed them yet....God bless Jeff and his coaching staff for all the good they've done with our Pirates. We usually wait a decade or more to make a return to the playoffs. Twice in three years is dreamland stuff for Pirate fans....
