bh89-2
Seems 20-4A and Dayton have a lot BH stats they like to throw around, so i figured why not go look.......... ;) A few interesting stats that jumped out as compared to what you hear........ ::) Also threw in a few tid-bits to educate you soon to be dissapointed 20-4A fans. ;DWhat you hear: BH has never beat Dayton! Uh, NOT: Since 1970 BH has beatin Dayton 9 times. In 1974, 1979 and 1981 BH shut them out 13-0, 21-0 and 20-0. In 1978 BH beat them 20-6. Most other games were close. I didn't do a count, but it does appear BH may have beatin Dayton more times than Dayton has beating BH, but could go either way because did appear close. What You Hear: Dayton is the only school in 19-4A with a winning record over 20-4A.Uh, NOT: BH has played current 20-4A teams 19 times since 1993, going back to 1970 and beatin them 10 times out of 9. Although a small margin, still a winning margin. Also note, BH may have played Vidor a time or two more and Vidor has never beatin BH that I can recall. If that's the case, then BH has a larger margin of victory. What You Hear: BH has not been past the 2nd round since they were State Champions back in the 70's. Uh, Not: BH lost to Cameron Yoe in 1981 during the Regional Championship Game 23-8. They have been in the playoofs many times since then. Bad weather and poor officiating has prevented at least 20 other state championships since then. ;)Fun Tid Bits:BH beat Dewyville in 1970 by a score of 99 - 0Since 1970 BH has only played PNG 4 times and has zero victories. PNG has scored 21 points in every one of those games and BH has scored 13 points in all but one of those games. The total points difference is +35 on PNG's side, obviously. If we play in 2011, BH will win by 36 points just to settle the score. Since 1970 Nederland has never beat BH. The two have played twice and BH has a total margin of victory of +10 points. BH has owned Montgomery and Stafford since 1970. Stafford and Montgomery both have wins over BH, but very few. Both teams are in Brenham's district. Using WOS logic, this means we will never be beat by anyone in that district. ;D ;DThe PNG Indian Dance is still the Goofiest thing I have ever seen. ;DAll-Time Winning # of Games (Notice the distinct absence of 20-4A teams above or near BH?
