See if you actually read it you will see that i have the word district posted above the whole thing. Therefore those are the district stats for the season. Yes i did post the season stats in a totally different thing but took them out because i wasn't getting much feedback. So to answer your question those are district stats in that thread and these are season stats posted on here. So yes to yall amazement Vidor is just as good as Nederland in stats season wise. Yes i know yall think we played a weaker non-district schedule or whatever but stats are stats. They are the only thing on this board that can't lie.

Well, if you really want to get down into it, the season stats can be more misleading than the district stats because the district stats look at a team's performance against the same set of teams as the other teams in its district.

With that said, all stats can be misleading because of the changes that take place on each team during the course of a season and the way those changes affect each team (Livingston losing Bull Mayes, for example). Yes they can be misleading in the game but they are not wrong. They are proven facts but they do not prove that one team is better than the other. IMO its not the stats that are misleading but its how people use these stats and view them and ignore them.

mytwocents, I've been saying all year it's the defense that has us in the playoffs. They make the plays when they have to and they don't give up. Lumberton was the only game which saw our defense let up and I think that was because of the heartbreaking loss to Nederland. Our defense is playing solid football. More than a couple of times Friday against Livingston they had to step up and make a stop.

On your side, dude. You just tell it like it is. Sometimes I get tired of some of our fellow Vidorians kissing up thinking somewhere it will amount to something. Don't get me wrong, I support 20-4A and hope everyone in the playoffs destroys 19-4A. However, I have news. Winning football games is the only thing that will get most of these clowns attention. Period. And, we're starting to get pretty good at that.

Right the point is this... Crosby always gets much better as the season goes on, the Team that beat PNG is not even the same team that beat BH. The defense has been tinkered with so much they aren't even similar.

The offense doesn't make mistakes. This game will come down to the cougars holding onto the football on punts and the cougars not letting big returns. GCM/Dayton/BH all recieved help from our special teams (BH was kinda canceled out by the fumble on a kickoff) But Dayton (Punt droped by punter, punt to the cougars where a kid makes a bonehead play and trys to catch the ball, and kickoff return for TD... thats 3 TDS given up to those Broncos on 3 special teams plays.)

[/quote]The Ned game was a flat out battle(22 to 19) and Png forced us into 3 first half turnovers.We were down 22 to 0 before we knew what happened. and lost 22 to 15. Both of these games were on the road and if you know anything about East Texas football.....These are 2 of the tuffest places to go into and play. I am sure all of Crosbys 500 fans at Lamar statium will make it as hard on us as the mid-county folks did.. ;D
