Cant go on much other than who we are and who we played. Cold Springs has to be one of the top if not the best defense. Huffman really is not far behind. Again, thats just cuz i have not seen much else play.

If my math is right CS finished District play with;

550 points scored

67 points allowed

That looks like pretty good defense to me.  I don't know how many of those points were scored against the secondary though.  That's in 10 games.

This might be one of the best 3A teams weve had around here in a looong time.

Those are some pretty amazing numbers!  Curious to see the yardage allowed.

Teams get less than 100 yards a game on the Trojans.  The avg. Rushing given up is about 47 per game and passing is 50. Just look in th SETx Stats and you will see the Trojan defense is at the top of every category.

I believe the 1998 Newton team was the last 3A state champion from this area and was probably the best Newton ever produced, but I don't think they could hang with this years Coldspring bunch. They seem to dominate, but the playoffs is when it counts.

I don't want to bust the whole homer bubble, but isn't this the same song from brownwood last year? Beating weak teams doesn't help you in the playoffs.
