ECfan4life! Posted November 5, 2011 Report Posted November 5, 2011 What team do you think has the best defense in setx?
bambam33 Posted November 5, 2011 Report Posted November 5, 2011 Cant go on much other than who we are and who we played. Cold Springs has to be one of the top if not the best defense. Huffman really is not far behind. Again, thats just cuz i have not seen much else play.
skipper Posted November 5, 2011 Report Posted November 5, 2011 WO-S getting better each week thay are not big but size dose not matter to them just look at the past history of WO-S never been relly all that big . this year the mustangs have played some very very very good teams with speed and size and looked good just ask the kids at NEDERLAND- GIDDINGS and FRINDSWOOD
bowhunter45 Posted November 5, 2011 Report Posted November 5, 2011
Coldspring :)
Ditto ;)
Kville_Kats Posted November 5, 2011 Report Posted November 5, 2011 No doubt it's Coldspring...This Defense has been consistent all year long.... ;)
phunter308 Posted November 5, 2011 Report Posted November 5, 2011 Agree Coldspring is BAD A$$. Watched film on them they are fantastic and disciplined.
ECfan4life! Posted November 5, 2011 Author Report Posted November 5, 2011 I havent gotten to see Coldspring or WO-S this year but from what ive read Coldspring as been doing really good.
skipper Posted November 5, 2011 Report Posted November 5, 2011 is coldsprings the best D in the state in 3A
ABNINF Posted November 5, 2011 Report Posted November 5, 2011 If my math is right CS finished District play with;550 points scored67 points allowedThat looks like pretty good defense to me. I don't know how many of those points were scored against the secondary though. That's in 10 games.

SetxFootball Posted November 5, 2011 Report Posted November 5, 2011 BC has a pretty good defensive core.Elite secondary!

texaggies07 Posted November 5, 2011 Report Posted November 5, 2011 Teams get less than 100 yards a game on the Trojans. The avg. Rushing given up is about 47 per game and passing is 50. Just look in th SETx Stats and you will see the Trojan defense is at the top of every category.
No1PawPaw Posted November 5, 2011 Report Posted November 5, 2011 Coldsprings: Strong, fast and very disciplined
Purple Runs Deep Posted November 5, 2011 Report Posted November 5, 2011 PN-G.....ok just joking but I will stay in Mid-County and go with Nederland. did not see EC or Coldsprings play.
ChampionEagles Posted November 6, 2011 Report Posted November 6, 2011 I believe the 1998 Newton team was the last 3A state champion from this area and was probably the best Newton ever produced, but I don't think they could hang with this years Coldspring bunch. They seem to dominate, but the playoffs is when it counts.
ECfan4life! Posted November 6, 2011 Author Report Posted November 6, 2011 So would yal say Coldspring has a very good chance of winning state this year?
kicker Posted November 6, 2011 Report Posted November 6, 2011 I don't want to bust the whole homer bubble, but isn't this the same song from brownwood last year? Beating weak teams doesn't help you in the playoffs.

BCcardbacker Posted November 6, 2011 Report Posted November 6, 2011 Who has Coldsprings played and dang, should we even show up they are so good?
NHS1990 Posted November 6, 2011 Report Posted November 6, 2011 Nederland should b in the conversation. They made a lot of good offenses look below average all season.
