All 4 19-4A teams are better.
20-4A can go 4-0 if they all score more points than the 19-4A teams they play. How can you say all 4 19-4A teams are better? That is ridiculous. I wish that PNG was playing BH again so we could send y'all home crying and making excuses for the 3rd straight year.
how can you say 19-4a teams are better?? well lets look at how 19 vs 20 did this year in pre season. 19 won 3-1. I think it will be the same 3-1. I think 20 4a is more competive. but when you take the top 4 I believe 19 is better. I think Crosby beats Vidor. BH beats Ozen. Nederland beats GCM. I think it comes down to Dayton vs PNG on if it will be another split.Seems like almost every year we argue on who has the best district but it ends up 2-2.
Never underestimate the Broncos!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
7mary3 Posted November 7, 2011 Report Posted November 7, 2011 Day vs Paul Nora George - Dayton will give up a couple of scores early on in the game and finally settle down; will be a few turnovers, if this is a shootout then I give the edge to Dayton; Paul Nora George needs to pound the ball in order to win and keep Dayton's O off the field....toss upBH vs Ozen - Ozen makes to many mistakes but makes it a close one; BH will have to make some adjustments to Ozens speed but should win if they don't turn over the ball....Crosby's School Board vs Vidor - Vidor's still upset about the INCIDENT and puts it on Crosby....GCM vs Nederland - GCM's going to cause some turnovers and cut and tuck the Dog's....As much as I'd like to see a 4-0 sweep I think it'll be 3-1 for 19-4A, bet it!
HubTx Posted November 7, 2011 Report Posted November 7, 2011 There is no way 19-4A wins 3 out of 4.... I'll eat crow all day long if they do...Nederland is a for sure win, and Vidor and PNG are at least 90% in my mind....I'm even going to take Ozen in the upset because they do have such a speed advantage over BH....

bulldog1984 Posted November 7, 2011 Report Posted November 7, 2011 All i can say is Nederland has tradition and GMC is just learning how to pronounce the word, with that said Big Ned will win. They are very hard to beat first round. just look at the last 10 to 15 years of first rounds.

HubTx Posted November 7, 2011 Report Posted November 7, 2011 Why is PNG at 90% for me? They are hotter than anyone else in SETX right now.... Chase Bertrand has established himself as one of the best backs in the area over the last few weeks (As if he had any more to prove) and their defense has done their job.... I think PNG wins and wins it by 14....Why is Vidor at 90% for me? Defense... They are the best equipped team to slow down the Crosby twins in 20-4A.... Vidor has eliminated one key thing from the last few seasons and that's turnovers.... They hold on to the football for 7 minutes at a time and get points, not turnovers.... Vidor will win this one in a low scoring game....And Nederland is a for sure for me because they are the best team in 20-4A and GCM does not have enough to keep up with them.... I for one don't think GCM would beat any of the four 20-4A playoff teams.... Nederland's defense allowed around 13 points per game before the Ozen game, and I haven't seen the average since.... And ask people from BH, Nederland should have beaten them.... What did you do against BH?And while I agree, Barbers Hill is a better team than Ozen, I believe that Ozen is going to provide matchup problems for the Eagles.... BH will have to find a way to corral some of that speed on Ozen's offensive unit, and they'll have to figure out a way to run it over Ozen's defense, because they WON'T run it AROUND them....Now, if you would like to offer your opinions and give me reason other than "I'm from Dayton" or "I go to school at Goose Creek Memorial" then I'd be glad to listen!!!

The missed field goal is a failure to execute. Just like a dropped pass, fumbled snap, etc. BH fans felt like the oppurtunities were there for more points, we didn't execute, period. Ned is a good team, if GCM executes this will be a good match up, that is if Ned executes also.

PNG has their work cut out for them !
Ftballfan11 Posted November 7, 2011 Report Posted November 7, 2011 Anyone that compares preseason stats to now is totally out of their minds.LCM was 4-0... 1-0 against 19-4A (GCM)... Shouldn't that mean that they should be in the playoffs? Last year PNG started their season 1-4 and went as deep as Dayton (got a free pass in round 2) and deeper than any other 19 or 20-4A team. It's not how you start, it's how you finish. You can compare preseason stats all you want, but that fact remains that NONE of these teams are even remotely the same.Every team has gotten better this season and I think that there will probably be another 2-2 split, but I think the upset alert is on BH... Ozen can turn into world beaters on any given night... It doesn't happen often, but it happens. BH, Crosby, PNG, and Ned make it through.

They also get exponentially better when they receive a playoff spot. Lastly, the 20-4a know football better than any other fan base in Texas. This is why 20-4A will sweep 19-4A.

Same way with Manvel.. GCM has had their troubles finishing and will have to find a way to limit mistakes or they will be done.
