Throw the ball and keep your qb from running the ball so much so he will last the game, especially when your number 1 and 2 qb or out and you may not have a qb to replace him.

bigred360 Posted November 7, 2011 Report Posted November 7, 2011 I thought you said faster. There is a big difference. ;) There are drills to help with quickness but for most athletes you are either fast or you aren't. Rarely do you see someone run a 4.7 in HS then run a 4.4 in college.

The other two would have ran for daylight and gained yardage,obviously if the new kid is faster than Bevil, maybe Bevil is a little quicker and to avoid the pass rush AND get rid of the ball quicker. Or some quarterbacks see the play developing faster than others.

I think you are making too much of a generalization here. Were you at the game? Prewitt had less than three seconds on several occasions to make a decison to throw a possible pick or eat the ball. The WR's were double covered as SFA was mainly in cover 2. He made positive yardage on several plays but sacks are taken from the rushing total in college. BTW, I'm from Orange and watched Bevil in HS and obviously with Johnson's natural skill set I was hoping for more playing time for him.However, Prewitt showed me he has a lot of heart because a lot of players in the same positon would not have finished the game.

This was the worst the blocking has been all season no doubt.
