uandme08 Posted November 7, 2011 Report Posted November 7, 2011 I sure hate that! It hurt me to see him when he went down Friday night. Wishing him a speedy recovery from the Panthers!
dustoff03 Posted November 7, 2011 Report Posted November 7, 2011 Not good. Reguardless of what was said in the interview, Vidor has capable back ups at that position. They just haven't been getting any reps during games. Not even in non-district games. Also the kid on JV looks pretty good. You would think that after Bolinger going down, that they would be more prepared for the possibilities of losing someone to injury.JMO!
Guest ECBucFan Posted November 7, 2011 Report Posted November 7, 2011 Vidor made a huge, huge mistake by not resting players as much as possible last week vs. Liv. Now the damage is done...I am defintely pulling for Vidor, but they have an uphill climb in front of them. :-\

It wasn't long and he was back in the game.
pirate68 Posted November 7, 2011 Report Posted November 7, 2011 This is a big blow IMO...Whats the nature of the arm injury? He came back in and played well the rest of the game.

I'm not gonna go into detail about the reason he is in there but i can tell you it has nothing to do with football.

You can get hurt in practice so injury can and will ALWAYS be a part of football. Vidor as numerous RB it's just the next man up. There OL will put the holes there for him to run through.

JollyRoger81 Posted November 8, 2011 Report Posted November 8, 2011 Wow, I hate to hear that! Pretty big shoes to fill! :-\
BWOOD Posted November 8, 2011 Report Posted November 8, 2011 Look like "mytwocents" commented. This has nothing to do with a football injury, is a lot more serious than that. Let's keep him in our prayers!!!
Purple Runs Deep Posted November 8, 2011 Report Posted November 8, 2011 Vidor has had more than their share of heartache this year, all the best to the Smallwood family.

Best wishes on a speedy recovery. WE WILL SEE HIM AGAIN IN ROUND TWO!!!!!
Bigdog Posted November 8, 2011 Report Posted November 8, 2011 Not good. It looks like Vidor will have 2/3rds of thier Offensive production out if Bolinger doesn't play. I know Quirante was hurt earlier in the year, is he at 100% ?
dustoff03 Posted November 8, 2011 Report Posted November 8, 2011 Vidor has pretty good back ups chomping at the bit to get in there. I believe they will answer the call.

He played a great game Friday night.
Lions#80 Posted November 8, 2011 Report Posted November 8, 2011 Sorry about your lost. Hope he gets ok. :-* :-* :-* :-* :-*
bobbymcgee Posted November 8, 2011 Report Posted November 8, 2011 I saw Vidor play once and have a suggestion for you folks: run a version of the wildcat with Quirante

robanadana Posted November 8, 2011 Report Posted November 8, 2011 The Pirates will be fine Thursday night even if Smallwood doesn't play. Bolinger is back and chomping at the bit as well as Jeremy Stephenson (soph.) who's been getting in some good minutes. Montana is healthy and let's not forget our tank at fullback, Brentyn Clark. This is high school, not the pros. Losing our last two games in district was not an option and we played accordingly against Livingston going into the playoffs on the positive note we needed. Prayers from my family go out to David Smallwood and his family.
Guest Pirate_pride_07 Posted November 8, 2011 Report Posted November 8, 2011 TJ Novak looks good and even though he hasn't gotten some playing time he is big strong and fast and been wanting to play since his injury earlier this year. He should fill smallwoods spot well enough.
