I like Elena's super combo nachos.  Mmmmmmm....
Elanas is good, but can't hold a candle to Richards or Hamburger Depot, IMO
I don't get all of the love for Hamburger Depot.  It's ok, but it isn't great.  Not something I'd drive for or anything.  Fuddrucker's is just as good, if not better.
It's a lot of burger for your money.  IMO, you pay the same price as a place like Whataburger (and Whataburger has good burgers).  But you get a little more good food for the same price.  Of course, this is my opinion.

Because it is just a basic truly home style cooked burger. The meat is hand made and not pressed like all fast food burgers including my favorite fast food Whataburger. The meat then takes on the kind of charred around the edges of a skillet cooked burger and not a flat pressed one on a stainless steel grill.

It is then a basic choice of lettuce, pickles, tomatoes, onions and mayo or mustard for condiments.

It is comfort food. It isn't a buffalo meat burger or one stacked with sauteed mushrooms and onions and Swiss cheese on top.

But, I can make that at home and then it will actually have flavor and it'll be a fraction of the cost.

Exactly right!  Good old downhome greasy love on a bun.

I also like Dippity's in Lumberton.  Y'all remember Better Burger on Concord?  Burger was as big around as my face.

You can make everything at home at a fraction of the cost. I can grill a steak at home a lot better than what I can get locally and feed the whole family for what it cost me for one dinner out and I can cook 6 shrimp at home a lot cheaper than $20. But we pay for convenience and time. We don't eat out because it is a good deal or always better food.

    • Sorry sir on my miss count. I was in hurry
    • Are they offering refuge to criminals? Or is it a Trump talking point? Refugees are people who leave their country due to unwarranted prosecution. I actually take care of 2 refugee kids who have complex medical needs   No, refugees are not criminals, and the assumption that they are more likely to be criminals than the general population is incorrect:                                                                                          Research shows immigrants commit crimes at lower rates Immigrants in the United States commit crimes at lower rates than the U.S.-born population, including unauthorized immigrants. This is true across immigrant groups.                  Immigration doesn't raise crime rates Immigrants don't raise crime rates in the communities where they settle. In fact, some studies suggest that immigration can lower crime rates, especially violent crime.                  Anti-immigration politicians have spread a myth Anti-immigration politicians have repeatedly tried to link immigrants to crime, but research shows this is a myth.                  Refugees don't cause crime in Turkey A study found that refugees don't have a causal effect on crime rates in Turkey. In fact, the study found that refugees may have a negative effect on crime rates per capita.
    • I think it's actually the first time ever to get past the second round. Some older folks might try to tell you about Scott High but I wasn't here when that school was around 😆
    • Smith is 78-31 overall and 18-8 in the playoffs. His first three years he went 23-15 overall and 6-3 in playoffs. His Silsbee teams are averaging making 3rd round every year in his 9 years as head coach.
    • Wishing everyone a great Thanksgiving!
