People in the south take us serious, and with good reason.  It's region 1 & 2, that don't....  I've been told by Stephenville, Aledo, Everman, Highland Park, Denton Ryan, Denison, Sulphur Springs & several other schools from the DFW area, that "Brenham is a joke".  Most people on here are just pulling your chain.  I doubt they mean anything by it.  It's just the Yankees of Texas that underestimate us.

You're exactly right, I looked at the brackets yesterday, Aledo and Stephenville are the only two decent teams in region 1. But I will give props to Aledo in 2009, I can personally say they were the real deal. But if we convert that 4th and 2. The outcome might have been closer.

???  Lion, how bout I throw a video link up showing a 290 lb DT from Brenham running down a wide receiver from Stratford?  EVERY TEAM from 17-4A is playing in the 2nd round...teams that the Cubs outscored 89-23.  Perhaps your comment is just an attempt to spark an attack.  It doesn't piss me off, it amuses me.  Let me know if I should throw some HD clips on Youtube and provide the link.  The Cubs are no slouches and they are NOT overrated.  ;)

No problem.  Those videos were from last year, except the one on our WR Tre'mund Moore (that's from his monster game against Houston Lamar).  Look for him to get some serious offers by the time our season ends.

The 53 yard TD catch/run against MW was a play that really stood out to me.  Seeing him juke a DB out of his shoes was amazing.  You gotta pick your poison with this guy.  You either TRY to contain him with one offensive lineman(impossible in most cases), or you can double or triple team him and deal with all of those LB's.  He is one of the most special players I have ever seen.

Unfortunately, all of that D1 talent sometimes causes issues with the team effect.  In 2006 one of those recruits caused some loss of focus, and once again last year it happened.  I feel that the returning players on this team, as well as the coaching staff learned a valuable lesson from last year.  The focus is on the team aspect, and last year that was not the case.  I just love watching these guys play.

The special thing about this Cub squad is unity.  Yes, they have alot of D1 talent that have boatloads of offers on the table but you don't detect any distraction or inflated egoes.  They're all about taking care of business on the field as Brenham Cubs, doing what they have to make plays for the team.  Go Cubs!!

Get your facts straight man.  In 2006, we played PNG in Reliant with that LSU QB and beat them 33-9.  In 2007, your team beat us playing a first-year starter at QB named Kyler Crenshaw who went to school on a baseball scholarship.  The score was 29-28, that's all.  2007 was a rebuilding year....

Holy Jesus....I hadn't seen that play before....Keep in mind that guy is 290 lbs making moves like that!!  I'm more impressed with his defensive play however, one of the best players at getting off blocks inside using his hands.
