Crockett Bulldogs vs. Newton Eagles
Friday November 18th at 7:30 pm
Abe Martin Stadium in Lufkin

These teams have played a lot of very close ballgames since 1980. Usually a knock-down drag-out affair. The '81 playoff featured over 1000 yards of offense, with Anthony Byerly running for Newton and Troy Bolton passing for Crockett. Here are the previous results. I believe 1980 was the first time the two schools played.

These teams have also scrimmaged each other for the last several years, and the scrimmages have always been very close. This has the makings of a great ballgame.

Yea D. Wheeler he is playing , I think they been putting him at WR last few games, hasn't had many touches.  I wonder if they were just saving him for the Playoffs. I think Crockett will be ready for Newton , And no disrespect to Jefferson but I would not doubt if Crockett has two weeks worth of Practice decatied to beating Newton by Friday night.  :D

Looking at the schedule Newton and Crockett have one common opponent in Corrigan Camden.

Crockett won 56 - 30
Newton won  49 - 7

I Think I have to give the nod to Newton on a stronger defense. Both offenses have been putting up similar numbers.

Iv'e been in contact with Newton football all season via KJAS radio,And it seems they play to the level of the competition...Newton I think will step it up a Notch or two,And not wait to see how Crockett is going to play them...Eagles for the win...!!!!  Go Eagles..!!!

U listen very well, They do just that. play on the same level as there competition , Hopefully since its [b]Crockett [/b] Newton will show up ready to rumble.

This should be a great game.  I am taking Crockett in this one.  I think they are playing good football right now.  They went in to Malakoff 2 weeks ago with the district championship on the line and it was no contest.

ive been trying to compare newton and crockett, and the only thing i can find is the corgan camden game's, newton 49 cc 7......crockett 56 cc 30.......i know that both teams have gotten better each week, so i see us as in Newton coming into this game as the under dog...who do yall pick as the under dog,....... Newton wins 41-35
