As announced last night on KFDM Channel 6's Sports Xtra, here are the SETXsports Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week

Co-Offensive players:

[b]David Green, QB, Ozen,[/b] 12-16, 249 yd, 4 TD; 7 carries, 74 yd; 1 TD in Ozen's 40-36 Bi-District win over Barbers Hill.

[b]Juan Carranco, Dayton kicker[/b]
5-5 with FG's of 42,48,41,33, & 39 and 3-3 on PAT's for a total of 18 of his teams 36 points in Dayton's 36-31 playoff win over PNG.


Defensive player:

[b]Zach Taylor, CB, Nederland,[/b] 9 tackles, interception late in game to set up late TD for Nederland in their 24-6 playoff win over GCM.

Daytons, Layne Bethea #21 had 9 solo and 4 Assist. 4 of those were tackles for a loss against PN-G.

he can get that with some 35 or 42 pt (dayton scoring 5 or 6 tds) games over the rest of this season and next.

Carranco's fg totals tell the tale of Dayton's season.For the most part failing to finish drives.Here is the reasoning;2009 9/9 fgs 2010 9/10 fgs = 18 fgs in 2 seasons,has 18 already this yr-2 from 52 ;)
