I see one good 3A team. In fact, there is only three 3A teams in this tourney, Aransas Pass, HJ and Shepherd.

Five 2A teams (3 of which are state ranked), the rest are 4A. (eight)

No-look.  If you will come to the HJ Marathon (and bring your banjo) I will arrange for you to have Valet parking and a comfortable seat in my sky box with free Champagne and Caviar.

I was suprised that CH was not in the top 25.  It does look to be a very good tournament.  I have never been to the HJ tournament but I may have to come down to the big thicket and flat country and watch some.

[/quote]Dont know why they weren't ranked. I was high on them last year but they fizzeled in the playoffs. They will be better this year... We open up with them tomorrow night. Probally get pounded. They been in the gym all year.

Champioship game prediction:  Hardin-Jefferson vs. Kingwood Park    (if its possible, dont know how the tournament is set up this year)

They struggled with their outside shooting last year.  They had a couple of good shooting guards that shot well their junior years and before, but they could never find their rythym last year.  I watched them early and thought they would finally find their stroke, and although they didnt shoot terrible, IMO they never shot as well as expected.
But they were 10-12 deep, and had a JV that was pretty decent as well.  They should be good for a few years.  Very suprising they were not a top 25.

Some others may know more, but I believe it is Pool play and that seeds you in the bracket.
I like that form of tournament the best, you get more games like that.  I think we will see more and more tournaments in the future going to this format. JMO

Whats up AAW, I havent talked with you in a while?  I plan to come watch some Silsbee and HJ games this year, want to bring my boy down to some games in that area.  Hopefully, I can come by and introduce myself at one of the games.

Is Silsbee still in football playoffs, or are the players in the gym yet?

Silsbee lost Saturday night.

Football players started practicing today (9 on varsity, 4 that will start eventually). First game tomorrow night but most will not play or play very sparingly.

Let me know when you come to a Silsbee home game, would like to put a face with the name. My broadcast table will be set up in the corner on the visitor side. Come say hi!
