That is news to me. Reed is one of the players that is out with an injury.

Actually, these are the football players that suited out tonight for the varsity:

Elam, Holmes, Gaines, Turner, McMahon,and Barnes.

6 total, with 3 still out due to injury.

Silsbee never played Kelly that year that Brown played.

In fact, Silsbee didn't start playing Kelly till just a few years ago.

Definitely not a great win for the Tigers.  I will say that #14 for Kelly looked good not sure who he is.  I was impressed by how the Tiger football players looked,  those that I knew played football.  I am trying to learn who some of these younger players are so I wasn't familiar with the other 3.  It was a typical first game sloppy,  with some spurts of good play.  There was times of trying to be too cute this early in the year with passes that later on will be good. A few defensive lapses.  As far as Reed,  I was told that he hasn't been cleared to play yet.

Because Mr. 2% claims that had these two "superstar" freshman who are still playing football for Kelly had played tonight, it would have been a Kelly win.

He made statements on how these two teams have played each other over the last couple of years, and I corrected him on the subject.

Like I said, just another ho-hum win over Kelly.

      Smith is 78-31 overall and 18-8 in the playoffs. His first three years he went 23-15 overall and 6-3 in playoffs. His Silsbee teams are averaging making 3rd round every year in his 9 years as head coach.
