pirate68 Posted November 19, 2011 Report Posted November 19, 2011 Great football game!!! Just got back to the hotel...Montgomery never gave up and the QB was pin point on the late TD passes.
liltex Posted November 19, 2011 Report Posted November 19, 2011 HS football is a game of emotions. What looked to be an outright rout by Vidor wound up being a 1 score differance caused by on side kicks, etc, etc but you don't have to explain a Victory.I'm so proud of Vidor's never quit team and their fans r awesome not just this year but in 09 when we played them last.I picked Vidor in da pic-ems on HEART,they didn't let me down 8)

robanadana Posted November 19, 2011 Report Posted November 19, 2011 Just got home from what was the greatest football game in Vidor football history. Montgomery has a great team and are a class act; what a comeback in the end! Thanks Mark Barnes from what I can see was great coverage. Met BrenhamFan tonight and I think we may have a new fan....he may not admit it but I'll bet his cubbies don't wanna play us. Great game by all the kids however tonight the shout out is to the Pirate coaching staff. I have never seen us prepared for games the way we are now. Maybe now some of you 17-4A teams will play us pre-district??? Sure would love to see a Montgomery or Brenham series.
liltex Posted November 19, 2011 Report Posted November 19, 2011 Me too,Vidor would wack da Cubs next year. They gotta total re-build on a sr.hvy starting corps this year.
Pirates34 Posted November 19, 2011 Report Posted November 19, 2011 Great game Pirates!! Met brenhamfan, loving the shoes. Maybe they are lucky.
Trocket Posted November 19, 2011 Report Posted November 19, 2011 Great win Vidor Pirates ;D SETX 20-4A, 1-0 against 17-4A and counting.
invictus Posted November 19, 2011 Report Posted November 19, 2011 Montgomery never gave up either! Love it when I see it, especially in high school. Those kids are going to go far in life. This was a good, clean game.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves..... I'm worried about this season right now!
BrenhamFan Posted November 19, 2011 Report Posted November 19, 2011 Nice to meet the Vidor fans that I did get to meet. Great hospitality!
kenluck Posted November 19, 2011 Report Posted November 19, 2011 These playoffs show how good 20-4a really is. Way to represent! LION FAN
vhs Posted November 19, 2011 Report Posted November 19, 2011 Wow, what a great game..both teams did a great job of fighting to the final buzzer. So proud of those Mighty Vidor Pirates!!!!
robanadana Posted November 19, 2011 Report Posted November 19, 2011 How many Pirate fans were at this game? 8000+? I don't care who the home team is on paper against Angleton because we will be. This is a total community effort and you know it has to affect those kids on the field.
Tim Riggins Posted November 19, 2011 Report Posted November 19, 2011 Very exciting 4th quarter, props to the Bears for the comeback and never quit attitude. Some of the best receivers I've seen in a while. Montgomery held to 50 yards rushing, but got on a 4th quarter roll with the pass. Glad we got that last onside kick. Great game by the Pirate offense against a swarming Bear defense and great support by the Vidor fan base and fans from other district teams. Keep it going Pirates and to round 3.
VP93.... Posted November 19, 2011 Report Posted November 19, 2011 Great game Pirates.. One thing for certain Montgomery NEVER gave up, great game Bears.. [move]HOW BOUT THEM PIRATES[/move]!!
