Unfortunately, many aspects of the media have brought all of that attention to this team over the last couple of years.  Attention that in my opinion that was not managed correctly by the powers at be.  This in turn is not fair to all of us true die hard, objective fans that are actually able to see the game inside of the game.  We realized at times during both of the last two seasons that something was NOT quite right.  It is all of those fans who pay the extra money to sit inside the 40 yard lines at Cub Stadium so that they can sit on their asses and see nothing but the final score that believe all that hype.    Do not get me wrong, this team had all of the potential to be there in the end, and I think we all know that.  I do not want to take anything away from Ozen's effort yesterday.  They did what they had to do to win, BUT they also did everything that should have beat them.  I do not want to point fingers at anyone, BUT there is no excuse for not capitalizing on 4 red zone possessions that resulted in 0 points.  My hats off to Ozen, AND their coaching staff for getting it done.

Brenham is a very good team but also very overrated. La marque would have pulled off the win against them regardless. You can deny it all you want, but i guess we'll never know.  :P La marque vs Ozen will be an interesting game though, thats for sure. They have a great QB... No man, I have not been sniffing any hi-lighters, glue, or anything of the such.  If you noticed from my other posts you would have saw that I gave full props to Ozen for taking care of their business yesterday.  I also pointed out that all of the attention brought to our program because of all the raw talent was not managed properly.  Overrated? They might have very well been.  When I said that Ozen could beat La Marque was not a shot at the La Marque program at all.  Myself, and everyone that follows high school ball has much respect for La Marque's program.  I was simply saying that Ozen is a legit team, with good coaching, and good players that have gotten it done.  La Marque probably SHOULD win on Saturday, but remember that Brenham was SUPPOSED to win yesterday.  You will not see me cracking on anyone from La Marque, Ozen, or Manvel.  Good luck to La Marque and Ozen this week.

Lol Don't take it personal man. I'm just saying La marque has the advantage in almost every category, Unlike brenham that got beat twice with the big pass. No team thus far as piled up more that 100+ yards on our Defense. And as far as passing against us.... I believe we've caught about 5 picks in the past 2 to 3 weeks of play. So yeah... But nothing person my man, all senseless chatter... until game day.  ;D

Rosenburg Terry - 236 yards, Manvel - 448 yards, Friendswood - 243 yards, Pearland Dawon - 276 yards, Rosenburg Terry in playoffs - 259 yards

Pretty sure all those games are more than 100 yards. Just saying.  ;D

You might say without seeing Brenham and knowing that they lost to Ozen that they are overrated. This team has a lot of fire power very good players and I can see why they were hyped up like they were but poor coaching killed them. They lost by 4 and didn't capitalize on 4 red zone posessions that resulted in 0 points. They think they are too good to kick the field goal against a 4 seed. Ozen is very good. La Marque is very fast I think this will be a great game. Go Panthers

We also had 2 TD's called back. (one on the long screen play that they said we stepped out, and the other was about a 4 yd TD run, called back cuz a receiver 10yds away got called for a hold)  Either way, we lost, so it doesn't matter now.

Sorry I left out a part... I meant to say "no team has piled up more than 100+ yards ON THE GROUND against our Defense..." Then i went on to mention how our Secondary has improved since those games. As for those numbers you mentioned above... Manvel, Dawson, AND Terry were ranked in the top 25 in 4a so I expect nothing less from ranked teams. Beaumont Ozen on the other hand is not even mentioned or found in the same sentence as the words "state ranked". So if our defense is averaging about 187.5 yrds per game given up in the toughest district in the state, I doubt Ozen will be putting up 300 yards on us. These are just the facts..
