As I put in the Ozen vs. Brenham thread, I believe Ozen should be the favorite. After seeing La Marque's performance against Sharpstown and Tim Wright getting shaken up, I pick Ozen. But man, you guys need a deep snapper bad lol.

The Panther DEFENSE is what's bringing them through the playoffs. Close game, Ozen 21, Lamarque 14. If I remember correctly, Lamarque runs an offense similar to my Pirates.

[/quote]We (Manvel) played them in a scrimmage and I kinda felt LM would get them next week, but Ozen surprised me.  But I think Ozen will have problems w/ Tim & the Towers!  Ozen will have some work to do to keep it going.

Doesn't look like they were 20-4A's caliber either. Beaumont Ozen has some athletes and they are gellin' right now. I wouldn't count my chickens....just sayin'

I'm a realist and to be quite honest neither team should beat Manvel and as far as D1 goes NO team that comes out of region 3 has a chance of beating Lake Travis.

I wouldn't judge anything by that Sharpstown game. We were pretty vanilla (no pun intended) and called off the dogs in the 2nd half. And I wouldn't put stock in the fact that Ozen is hot. Everyone still playing is hot. But that's why we play the games. Signing off until Saturday evening.

[/quote] La marque hasn't overlooked any team this year. And that is exactly why we won 2nd place in the toughest district in the state (24-4A).. Will we play you FULL ON, EVERY PLAY, ALL GAME (if we have to).. Just as if you were the top ranked team. Its all the same to us, so get ready for a great game.! And all you folks who are saying you remember what Lm plays like.... News for yu: This is a totally different la marque team... May be the same swagger, but new coaching and new offensive/defensive system.. La marque is obviously the favorite but goodluck to Ozen.

Exactly, just like everyone saw Brenham moveing on, anyone can be beat in the playoffs..
This is not the La Marque team from back in the day that rolled over Central in Deerpark..Dosent mean They'll just roll over and hand Ozen the "W", Ozen has to play a very good football game and stay away from the mistakes..Im very impressed with Ozens D, if they play like that this week I see ozen pulling another one out..
