After seeing the pictures man the cops are big.  The cops should be disciplined and held accountable for their actions.  This is the example of misconduct on the part of the cops.

I talked to a local school district police chief.  He said that school district policy states that the only way event officers would get involved in a "on field" fight, before, during or after a game, between uniformed players is if the coach, administrator, superintendent or any other school official ordered the police officers to intervene.  He said that it is the responsibility of the coaches to control or intervene in any incidents involving players.

I agree Octfeb. Every year we see more of this kind of crap. Either in person close to home, or by video, news story or whatever. Point is that it's happening more and more. It has to stop NOW before a kid gets seriously hurt or killed. It's a only game! I wish the UIL would get serious about stopping it. I agree Solo....
The way things are these days, I would hate to be charged with "paddling" an unruly student.  Many of these kids have access to guns and knives (the way us old-timers had access to baseball cards and bubble gum)..and they think nothing of using those weapons against someone who was "disrespectful" to them.  Back in the day, when a teacher reprimanded a student either verbally or by corporal punishment, the student for the most part learned his lesson (even though maybe it took several times).  Many kids nowadays  don't respect nor fear their parents, let alone respect teachers/coaches or anyone else in authority.  Sad state of affairs but that's how I see it.

Many kids have only one parent in their lives, usually the mother...Not saying tht a mom can't raise a child the right way, but it's beneficial to have a man around to do some rear end kicking when/as required.  Look at recent cases where kids have attacked, stabbed, shot and even killed a parent because parent wouldn't let the brat have his/her own way...If I ever raised hand to either of my parents, I wouldn't be here typing now...

I agree, they make you sign a paper every year stating if they can discipline your kid or not. But schools are so scared of lawsuits that you can ask many school districts and most will tell you that they don't dare paddle kids anymore. They have ISS, what a joke.

Most kids come to school when they want to and they are well below all their test scores. Half of the football team is over 18 and their grade point average is pushed to a curve to make them all able to play. Come on son!
