Guest UHCoog14
I take offfense to your discrediting of the OF position. You make it appear that in high school the OF position is still relegated to the "flower pickers" and only the most skilled players (or coaches sons) play the infield. As the father of an All- State, 2 time district Offensive Player of Year and a D1 recruit in the outfield, let me assure you that the OF position is not for "flower pickers". Get the chip off your shoulder.

Ricefan
1. LCM 2. LIVINGSTON 3. NEDERLAND 4. PNG LCM has the most returning with varsity experience . 6 returning all-district players , and plenty depth in pitching to get you through pre season tournaments . staying healthy is always key . many arms by end of year are usually worn . ask nederland , last year . FULTS & CARLINE , will carry the load , HUMPREY looking strong and SWAN, YOUNG will add . LCM will need one of these 3 to really step up .LIVINGSTON has a strong ace , but cant pitch every game . NEDERLAND is always amazing when one leaves another one steps up they have one heck of a youth program or its either in the water .PNG can take fourth place if all the coaching hu haa is over with . if not will be VIDOR

scapegoat
Picking Ned. third is crazy!Duplant is the superteam MVP as a sophmore and Brown is hitting low to mid 90's and has signed with Lamar.Nederland is loaded with other quality pitchers and three solid catchers.Ned also has a group of juniors that have not tasted losing very much in select or high school ball.Anything can happen but I do not see Ned finishing third.P.S. It will be interesting to see the high school players adjust to the BBCOR game.

OhBilly18
LCM has plenty returning starters that will make them contenders. Cannot discredit that the bats for the Bears will be strong. Nederland will make their run at the title as well. Livingston will be in the mix as well. Last spot will be decided between PNG and Vidor. Good luck to all teams.1.LCM2.Nederland3.Livingston4.PNG/Vidor
Heckyl

Stampley will be behind the plate as the starter and have Kanton at first as a regular. Feltman is a good ball player and should get some playing time behind the plate but hard to beat out Stamp ot Kanton. The pitching as always is deep in Nederland and many of the pitchers are excellent fielders also. Can't wait to see them start playing again. My favorite time of the year. Good luck to all the 20-4A teams except when you play the Bulldogs.
Where will Brown play when he is not pitching if Richard is at 1st every game? Brown was everyday 1st last year. Richard and Brown will be in the lineup somewhere. Richard could rotate between catcher and 1st or be DH when not at first. Stamp could also rotate between catcher and DH. Ultimately it will come down to who has their bat going. Some of the players I have seen listed are good but may ultimately end up on JV to get playing time. Every year I see people assume that certain underclassmen will be on varsity but it doesn't happen. You never know until the end of January. It all depends on their bat!! I look for the following returners to be in the lineup at some position: Brown(P/1B/3B), K. Richard(1B/C/DH), Duplant(SS/3B), Broussard(CF), Fontenot(SS/3B/2B), Raines(OF), Wood(3B/OF), Laselle(P/OF),?. Only 2 openings if you count a possible DH. Nederland is full of talent...Makes it tough to move up.
I agree with the returners but Nederland is deep enough to have the bench come in and never miss a beat. Been around this group of kids a long time and am anxious to see what they will do. The JV team will be extremely strong as well. Will be interesting to see who makes what team. Good luck to the Bulldogs. See ya at the game!!!!!
