Well said Coach Roark.

I love when coach mathews says " We pray when we win, We pray when we lose... now grab a hold of a winner and lets pray!"

I would like to thank you as well, Coach Roark. I sure would like to see us get a home and away series with these guys, I think it would be good for the team. Angleton was a class football squad and they definatley have a great coaching staff. I wish them well in their run for a state championship.

I've never seen as opposing coach address a team like that. We are very proud and lucky to have a coach like Coach Rourk. This is his first year at Angleton after spending 6 years at Needville and I remember him saying at the board meeting when hired that he was going to continue the winning tradition and take it a step further and he has certainly has. He has put together a great coaching staff and not only is he top notch coach but as you see in the video and heck of an person. That was very cool and that's what Texas high school football should be about.

Indeed, very classy.  Angleton is fortunate to have Coach Rourk leading your young men, he seems to be setting a fine example.

When I watched this yesterday, I had tears in my eyes. Coach Roark displayed what sportsmanship is all about, he is such a class act. I loved what Coach Mathews told our boys too, he is also such an amazing class act that all of our boys look up to. Our boys learned something so much deeper than just football this year.

That's pretty top-notch right there.  The coaching profession needs more men like that.
[/quote]He's a great man, helping to create many more great young men for our community. :). Best Head coach Angleton has had in the 18 years that I've lived there!!

That right there is the dream coach every Sports program should have. Great man who leads a team not just in the art of winning but being a role model to others. Fantastic coach for Angleton and Vidor. Good luck to both programs in the future.

Outstanding words that you could tell were heart felt.

I know it wasn't Coach Roark's intent, but he created a lot of new fans of the Angleton Wildcats!

Good luck and Good Speed on the remainder of your journey guys.

Tell you what, good stuff right there by both coaches...Both communities can be proud of the men they have leading their programs, IMO...this is what it's all about folks, creating men out of boys.
