hipster Posted December 5, 2011 Report Posted December 5, 2011 Yep but they are still playing, so what is worse getting crushed by them or playing in front of 8k. Remember Ray Ray has got to earn those incentives. lol!!

coachacola Posted December 5, 2011 Report Posted December 5, 2011 I've read that the ncaa loses money each year on the FCS playoffs. Probably only Montana and Appalachian State make money their games. Between losing money and no publicity is it any wonder why schools want to move to FBS?
AstrosDawg07 Posted December 5, 2011 Report Posted December 5, 2011 So those schools can lose even more money?

puddin tane Posted December 5, 2011 Author Report Posted December 5, 2011 naw sarge..i mean the teams in the playoffs..i thought they bid on the right to host the games..i thought I remember that from yrs back, montana always gets games at home cuz some trucking company puts up a wad of cash.
puddin tane Posted December 5, 2011 Author Report Posted December 5, 2011 yeah..i think I found it in here..http://www.thebestdamnpoll.com/Default.aspx?tabid=112&g=posts&m=100193as of 2009, the games sites pretty much go to the highest bidder..with the championship held in Chattanooga??I am going with Ga Southern
coachacola Posted December 5, 2011 Report Posted December 5, 2011 I read that schools under-report attendance because the NCAA takes a big cut of that money. The FCS championship is in Frisco, TX this year at a pro soccer stadium that holds maybe 25K. I think the SHSU-Montana State game is on one of the ESPN channels this weekend so we'll see if they can at least fill up the stadium.
puddin tane Posted December 5, 2011 Author Report Posted December 5, 2011 had to google "Frisco", didnt know where it was...Pizza Hut park..looks kinda like cardinal stadium with seating in 1 endzone..read up on Ga southern--they run the triple option--which i hate--so gotta change my pick--North Dakota State-
ForeverADog Posted December 6, 2011 Report Posted December 6, 2011 Way to put a lot of effort into your picks! Haha I thought the games went based off of the seeding. Sam Houston is #1 so should have home field throughout? I'm not sure ??? Mt pick is Maine. Its such a crappy state something good is bound to happen.
puddin tane Posted December 6, 2011 Author Report Posted December 6, 2011 i think (if they both keep winning), Sam would have to play Montana..and i think it would be played at wherever the highest bidder comes from..which is usually Montana..

And Pizza Hut Park is a soccer-specific stadium that was built for FC Dallas, a professional soccer team in MLS.
ForeverADog Posted December 10, 2011 Report Posted December 10, 2011 Anyone see this Montana game? They are killing Northern Iowa in front of 25000 screaming, standing fans in 15 degree weather. That is why no team can win there! Great atmosphere.

I think Slam has a good chance..btw..is the qb healthy..got hurt last game?
j_dog Posted December 15, 2011 Report Posted December 15, 2011 Don't know for sure about the QB. But the word last week was that whatever the injury was it was minor. My impression was that it was some kind of cut that they taped up at halftime. What I heard was that he could have played the second half if needed. Again, not sure. Hope he can play. They will need everybody.
j_dog Posted December 17, 2011 Report Posted December 17, 2011 Sam won 31-28 after letting Montana back into the game.Tim Flanders had over 200 yards rushing.
puddin tane Posted January 8, 2012 Author Report Posted January 8, 2012 North Dakota St held Slam to under 100 yds rushing, 2 field goals to win 17-620k in Frisco for the game
