Well, upgraded in boat size this year.  In smoking baby fashion, get off your tail and come fish or you suck.  ;D ;D

Hey, if Liltex and cavemen can do it, so can you.

Planning to start trips in late January or early February (water temperature driven) to the Flower Gardens for Wahoo and whatever else we want to make a run at.  Tuna trips are also an option.

The boat is a 31 foot NorthCoast (same as 31 ft blackfin combi, but thicker hull) with twin 310HP cummins diesel engines, v-birth, stand-up shower, full head, stove, microwave, AC/Heater, etc.....  Full color electronics, color radar, sat weather, sat radio (or liltex can sing), and top of line tackle.  Reels are mainly Avet, Accurate, penn internaitional, and shimmanos.

Standard Blue Water trips are 55-75 miles ofshore for:
* Ling, durado, wahoo, snapper, amberjack, beeliner, scamp, blackfin tuna, etc......

Deep Blue Water trips are 100+ miles
Tuna, Wahoo, bill fish, sword fish, grouper, tile fish, etc......

We split cost of trips, so it's not a charter.

A few loose ends to finish on Grumpy One,Bh 89's new boat to go fishing soon. One of my sons home on leave from China and a few of his friends along w/myself and Jody going after the offshore bigguns today @ 1:00 leaving Galv on a all weekend,2 overnight fishing trip in the gulf.Be back in Sun.evening and hope to have a good report fishing w/friend on his 46' boat.Gonna be a tad cool @ night but a great weather window is the forecast.Big expense is diesel fuel as we'll burn over 400 gal.all furnished by my son.Thing I thought was funny BH89 said if you can find some( purple) stretch 30's we can catch some fast swimming big wahoo this time of year.We found 1 good for @least 3 rounds lol.P/u 1 battle blue 1 good for coming close ;D ;D

Sounds great liltex.  Hope you have a great trip with your son and the others.  What does your son do in China?  That's too interesting to pass up.

TV my son works for a state dept contractor. They're building a U.S cons.housing project. He was in Bejing last job building a Embassy during the olympics.Next job could be in Pakistan. He is a ironworker @32 yrs old, never married and loves working overseas. Our fishing trip was alot of fun as we fished alot of rocks/wrecks in-between before running out to Tequila and Sunrise rigs that were covered up w/sharks.We caught alot of legal species of smaller snapper along w/releasing/venting alot of nice red snapper. We hooked up big three times, twice was probably big grouper getting hung up on bottom structure after a brief tug-o-war.Third time I fought a shark around 150# until I was worn out and we cut the braid.Did catch 1 decent dorado trolling a snapper slapper in hot pink.Snapper are stacked up like cord wood on every stop.Spring fishing is gonna be great.Ya'll need to go at least once.BH89 knows the gulf and works hard to keep the boat on top of lots of fish, with top of the line equip.and electronics w/all safety equip.Get your name-address on the upcoming fish list.I promise you'll want to go back again-tight lines ;)

Yall better watch ole liltex, he'll have you dragging snapper slappers at 7 knots 80 miles offshore.... ;D  Actually he caught his dolphin on a skirted jet head with an artificial ballyhoo behind it.  For the record, the skirt on that jet-head was BH Blue and not Dayton Puke Purple.  ;D ;D

Unfortunatly the fuel dock in Galveston chinga-laid us in getting fuel so we ended up not making the flower garden trip like we originally wanted.  I was told last night the pending state record wahoo (140 lbs) was caught there this past weekend.  Had we been there pulling that BH Blue, maybe we would have caught it instead.

Grumpy Two is getting close to being fish ready.

True dat but we did bring dem purple stretch 30's for the wahoo we couldn't get out there to.After 8:30 pm don't count on Galveston for diesel fuel.We had to go 40 miles by water to San Leon to April Fools Point and Top Water Grill to buy $1,100 in diesel and that's all he had but pumped it for us in 40 degree weather in bermuda shorts.Robert the owner is a class guy and the food/service is the best.We fished out of a 44' sportfisher all aluminum nice boat w/twin detroit diesel drive engines since Grumpy Two is not quite finished but it won't be long now and fishing will be red hot soon.Anybody know a good place for fresh sm.sardines/cigar minnows?5 fish markets @Kemah is a washout except for squid.

If you want to go offshore fishing, go to Facebook and search for Action Outdoors and like it or friend it, or however that stuff works.  I'll add you to the list and post fishing dates there.
