HillGuy Posted December 22, 2011 Report Posted December 22, 2011 I thought Ozen was going to be in the Willis Taco Bell Tourney next week? Could have sworn it was on their schedule, but now it says "Chapel Hill Holiday Classic". Surely the #1 4A team in the state is going to North Carolina and not a 2A tourney in NE Texas ;DWhat's the story?
HillGuy Posted December 23, 2011 Author Report Posted December 23, 2011 Just curious. Would have liked to see how they did at the Taco Bell.
WOSgrad Posted December 25, 2011 Report Posted December 25, 2011 Dunno, I still have not been able to find any info on the tournament.
WOSgrad Posted December 29, 2011 Report Posted December 29, 2011 Finally found the answer to this question. The Ozen Ladies ended up kinda south of Chapel Hill....kinda like Sharyland south (that is in the Valley).Tonight, they beat Sharyland 72-27. They play 5A Harlingen tomorrow at 11:50 a.m.Thanks to RGV Sports and hoopinsider.com for the info.
WOSgrad Posted December 29, 2011 Report Posted December 29, 2011 The Lady Panthers defeated Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial this morning to get to the Sharyland game. This puts the Lady Panthers 15-0 on the season.
HillGuy Posted December 29, 2011 Author Report Posted December 29, 2011 Verrry Interesting 8)...great investigative work there Grad...there HAS to be an interesting back story here lol.

Good luck, pretty sure GP is 4A though. Should have no problem though, they have one really strong guard but not too tough overall.

HillGuy Posted December 31, 2011 Author Report Posted December 31, 2011 Article on win:http://www.rgvsports.com/sports/gregory-10820-koko-mission.htmlSounds like G-P gave them a game. My daughters AAU teammate, Whitney West of G-P, came up big to keep them hanging around. Congrats again!
dimlaws Posted January 1, 2012 Report Posted January 1, 2012 Could have been much worse HillGuy, Coach Brown really gave the bench an opportunity to play in this game. GP was a tough team though. This was a first class tournament, the girls had a great time. They really know how to treat teams from out of town.....kudos to ko ko's!!!!
