This after coming off a loss to Lamar at home.

Depends on if they are hitting their 3 point shots.  Missed all of them against Ohio St. but made them at Rice. :)

A couple of interesting stats:

Lamar is only shooting 40.4% from the floor on the year. That's 286th in the country! The way they are able to still win is that they average 42.3 rebounds per game. 4th in the country. We get a lot of second chances.

Lamar needs to step up and play a fundamentally good game against one of these major schools.  Pat Knight is not just scheduling them as a recruiting ploy.  Recruiter to recruit Hey we're going to play top notch teams and get our tails kicked, he wants to compete.

[/quote] ::) Its good for recruiting. Knight does not expect to beat the big boys. But like most coaches, if you play and compete with the big dogs, they want that the same competitive intensity when conference play starts.

I saw Texas A&M play last night. They aren't as good as people may have thought they were. One of their star freshman guards just transferred out. Their players look more like role /off the bench players.

Injuries and an unhealthy coach isn't helping. Even the closer losses were blowouts in the first half. Terrible shooting. Their defense is keeping them in games.
