I know Silsbee has played one of the toughest schedules of any 3A team in the state this year. It's been a while sense they have had 6 loses in a season period. All of their loses have been to  5A or the top 2 teams ranked in 4A. How much will this benefit them come district and playoff? Region 3 in 3A has 5 ranked teams if I'm not mistaken. Out of the 6 loses 4 have been extremely close. Your thoughts?
They will finish the season with 9 loses. 2 from HJ and 1 more more in the playoffs. Those 6 loses supposedly are  preparing them for those 3A, #1 ranked HJ Hawks!!

HJ will be ready for Silsbee.  Those games can go either way... I seriously doubt that their will be a 3 time winner in that series.

If I were Silsbee, I'd be worried about any 3A playoff team with a monster in the middle.

Well, so should any other 3A playoff team.  That's hardly news. ???
But some teams are better able to handle a big guy in the middle than others.  HJ and Cleveland come to mind.

Cleveland does not have a big.

Silsbee has been hurt one time by one big post player this season (last night as Rider's '6"8 post scored 34). Silsbee has played other teams this season with big players (HCYA's Knowles, '6"10, scored just 8 points in a loss to Silsbee) and they have done okay.

Silsbee's lack of size has hurt them in some games, but they have made up for it with their speed and quickness.

I think Silsbee has handled bigs in the past just as well as HJ and Cleveland.

Why? It would have been tough for Silsbee to play after a long travel back,
Well, think about it. Had Silsbee made the finals tonight, that game would not have been over till 10pm. You cannot ask a team to travel back home on a yellow dog for 6 1/2 hours, arriving in Silsbee at about 4-5am, then play a game scheduled for 2pm that day. It was just best to cancel the game ahead of time.

I know it's too early to talk about this but this tiger team is dangerous  big guys or small guys by I like the fact that this team should be together not only this year but next year too so I love the tough schedule I only prepares you for the long district run the tigers have at least another 2 years to win it all and yea they are not afraid of Hj they will be ready for them.

I doubt if HJ is ready for them! I don't think HJ is in the same book as Kimball and Silsbee played them close for the most part.
Flipped again huh?  You've gone from HJ being the best team ever to being inferior to Silsbee to being the best team in region 3 and back to being inferior to Silsbee - I am SO thankful you aren't lending your name to the HJ program.

Is there ANY AMOUNT that you would take or ANY WAY that I could persuade you to take him, anyway? ;D

Silsbee's tough schedule coupled with HJ's weak schedule will result in two Silsbee wins agains HJ, a district championship, and most likely a state championship.

Yes they did but I feel Silsbee is the better team and should have on the game in the Nederland Tourney as well. West Brook has played up and down all year. Just when you think there on a roll they lose 3 straight.
But that havn't lost 3 straight.  since beating Silsbee and Nederland, they took a loss in the championship round of the Nederland Tourney to a very good Villiage team by 3 points.  They went on to beat Central by 10.  They also took a close loss the following game to Kashmere and loss to Hightower, who is very good.  That's 2 losses in a row to good teams.  They wrapped up with a win against Ike.  Which brings us to today where they would have been playing you guys.

I see your point. I think that Silsbee's 1st win by 16 is a true reflection of how good Silsbee is. I see West Brook as a playoff team of course, but I didnt count them beating Silsbee twice. The only 3A teams who will give Silsbee a run for their money are HJ, Sealy, and Meixa. Silsbee has beat themselves in a few games this year missing free throws and inconsistent 3 point shooting.

    • What news station do you watch?…..never mind.    What age are the children you take care of. Refugees from where? Are they in a hospital? Now children compared to criminals…..geeeez. The mayor of Denver and a few governors, including Newsom, have said they will not turn over incarcerated criminals to ICE. This is a felony. They are harboring criminals and fugitives. Gee, I’m so glad you want criminals protected. Anyone who crossed illegally into our country is a criminal. Happy Holidays to you and yours.
    • Sorry sir on my miss count. I was in hurry
    • Are they offering refuge to criminals? Or is it a Trump talking point? Refugees are people who leave their country due to unwarranted prosecution. I actually take care of 2 refugee kids who have complex medical needs   No, refugees are not criminals, and the assumption that they are more likely to be criminals than the general population is incorrect:                                                                                          Research shows immigrants commit crimes at lower rates Immigrants in the United States commit crimes at lower rates than the U.S.-born population, including unauthorized immigrants. This is true across immigrant groups.                  Immigration doesn't raise crime rates Immigrants don't raise crime rates in the communities where they settle. In fact, some studies suggest that immigration can lower crime rates, especially violent crime.                  Anti-immigration politicians have spread a myth Anti-immigration politicians have repeatedly tried to link immigrants to crime, but research shows this is a myth.                  Refugees don't cause crime in Turkey A study found that refugees don't have a causal effect on crime rates in Turkey. In fact, the study found that refugees may have a negative effect on crime rates per capita.
    • I think it's actually the first time ever to get past the second round. Some older folks might try to tell you about Scott High but I wasn't here when that school was around 😆
