indian15/16 Posted January 1, 2012 Report Posted January 1, 2012 The evolution of the Indians is not yet complete but it is moving foward. This past week they competed in the Brazosport tourney and there were some real positives. They dropped the opener to a good Kinkaid team but their progress was appearent in their second game against Bay City. The Indians played them in the second week of their season and lost by 36 points. This time around the Indians trailed by one at the half and eventually lost 65-51. Cleveland had every opportunity to win this game but their youth got the best of them. They missed so many layups in this contest. The Indians closed the tourney with a win over Stafford. It was a grind it out win in a game they trailed in the second half. Another footnote, the Indians dressed nine players, 2 seniors, 6 sophmores, and 1 freshman. I think their confidence is growing and they are starting to cut down on careless turnovers. Their defense is much improved and I think their best basketball will be seen thru district. Roll...Tribe...Roll!!
