AshlyHasBeen Posted March 9, 2012 Author Report Posted March 9, 2012 I only use Joe Lunardi's of ESPN. I don't think anyone is better than him.
NorthoftheBorder Posted March 9, 2012 Report Posted March 9, 2012 After further review of the CBS one, they have LU in the play in game with West Ky. There are 2 16 seed and 2 12 seed playins. That would suck, the committee says you may be worthy of a 12 seed but you have to play your way in. Also the CBS bracket has 10 Big East teams. Isn't there only 9 teams in the Big East? LOL!!!!! That would be about right, the Big East champion gets a double elimination invite!
ForeverADog Posted March 9, 2012 Report Posted March 9, 2012 Notb, the Big East has 16 teams. They will for sure get 8 bids and maybe up to 10. They are the best conference in basketball.

ForeverADog Posted March 9, 2012 Report Posted March 9, 2012 Yes. You are correct. In basketball you add great teams like Marquette, Notre Dame, and Georgetown. Also Villanova, Seton Hall, Depaul, St Johns. None of those schools have Big East football teams.
ndn2016 Posted March 11, 2012 Report Posted March 11, 2012 I know ND football isnt what it used to be but they do have a football team. sorry FE dog, I couldn't resist.

They play as an independent.
badndn Posted March 11, 2012 Report Posted March 11, 2012 Correct. And Nova also has Football, just not FBS football.Sux to have to play-in to the tournament!
Bobcatfan4life Posted March 11, 2012 Report Posted March 11, 2012 Update this morning on ESPN has us as an automatic bid 16th seed against Michigan State in Columbushttp://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/bracketology
BadMedicine Posted March 11, 2012 Report Posted March 11, 2012 It appears that Lamar is properly slotted based upon the RPI's of the projected 14 and 15 seeds that range from 58 (Belmont 14 seed) to 92 (Lehigh 15 seed). The only exception is Detroit whose RPI is 125 and a 15 seed. Lamar's RPI is 114.

By the way LU has moved up to 104 this morning and Detroit is still 125. That is to big a gap for LU to not be a 15 seed!
