no-look
I read somewhere where Le Vega beat five 5A schools......not sure if they were good or not.
sleepy
Two things can likely be taken from this. La Vega is really good and Mexia is not near as good as they were. You can look at other scores and tell that Mexia is clearly down from where they were last year.

Something is up.

Weathers is averaging 24 points a game, Carroll is averaging 21.4 points a game. Mexia returns their starting post player Green and PG Strain.Weathers made all state 1st team last year and all state tourney. They did lose their other guard who averaged about 11 points a game last year.Mexia should be just as good if not better this year from last. Guest speechless
Strain was not even on the varsity roster last year. DJ Robinson was their other starting guard (along with Weathers and Carroll) and when Weathers went down at the beginning of the third quarter against HJ Robinson and Carroll carried the load just as they did the next day when they beat Athens. In fact, they carried the load against Burkburnett in the state semi-finals because Weathers was not able to recover from the ankle against HJ.Bottom line is Mexia lost one of three very good scorers. They are still very very good but they have not been able to replace the shooting of DJ Robinson as their third dimension.
BADSANTA
Mexia will be a playoff team regardless. That's when time will tell.
