oldrock Posted January 8, 2012 Report Posted January 8, 2012 Hayden Reed of LCM started the track season by setting the new meet record at the Texas A&M High School Indoor Classic by throwing the shot put 61' 11", breaking his own meet record of 61' 8.5" that he set last year.Matthew Oubre of Dayton placed 5th overall with a throw of 48' 1.75".The best of luck to Hayden on his Senior season and to Mathew on his Junior season. These two will likely meet again at the 4A Region III meet in April.By the way I sat with the Reed family at this meet. He is a definitely a fine young man and will go very far with his Academic and Athletic skills. I was very impressed with him and his family.
