WeedBegone Posted January 12, 2012 Report Posted January 12, 2012 Kirby is probably the most visited coach from ex student players--both offense and defense. He obviously has a positive impact on these guys. He also appears to be a no non-sense style of coach. You best not try and get into his face. He demands respect and from what i have observed--he gets it. Good luck in his desire to enhance his career.
football Posted January 12, 2012 Report Posted January 12, 2012 What position did he coach this year?
82 5A State Champs Posted January 12, 2012 Report Posted January 12, 2012 I agree with you, WBB. Coach Jones has some tenure at WB, and is familiar with the history and successes WB has had over the years. He also understands the challenges that lay in front of him, with regards to the field house situation, and having to deal with the politics at BISD. I think he would be a good fit.
desethion Posted January 12, 2012 Report Posted January 12, 2012 i kirby would be a good fit but also think that donald douglas would be a good hire. i just hope that if either one of them gets the job that they hire a good staff because getting the wrong coaches just because i like them and know them could be cataphic to their coaching tenure at wb
sig220 Posted January 14, 2012 Report Posted January 14, 2012 At this point I his career, Kirby is not ready for the campus coordinator position. He needs to at least be a DC before HC.

sig220 Posted January 15, 2012 Report Posted January 15, 2012 He tends to "disappear". His work ethic is questionable.

sig220 Posted January 15, 2012 Report Posted January 15, 2012 Key phrase - linebacker coach - knows nothing about d line or backs. He needs time at a coordinator position.

sig220 Posted January 15, 2012 Report Posted January 15, 2012 I agree he deserves consideration, but there are others.

sig220 Posted January 31, 2012 Report Posted January 31, 2012 Based on what I am hearing, he has no chance.
