PhatMack19 Posted January 14, 2012 Report Posted January 14, 2012 It looks like the NCAA is about to ban 7 on 7 events from being held on college campuses. The SEC passed this earlier in the year and according to rumors it will be nation wide soon. 7 on 7 has quickly become the AAU for football with all kinds of money being thrown around trying to sway HS kids.Is this that big of a deal? What about the UIL basketball and baseball championships being held on UT's campus?
OldSkool97 Posted January 15, 2012 Report Posted January 15, 2012 Im sure the UIL wouldn't have a problem finding another home for those games.
BLUEDOVE3 Posted January 15, 2012 Report Posted January 15, 2012 NCAA don't want to lose control like basketball.
WOSgrad Posted January 15, 2012 Report Posted January 15, 2012 7on7 in some other states (Florida) have gotten to be as big a problem as AAU basketball. That probably was the basis for the 7on7 ban in the SEC and probably the NCAA as well.
