Guest beechnut Posted January 16, 2012 Report Posted January 16, 2012 After one of the best seasons in recent memory about time to get the boys of summer going. Not expecting much from Houston but going down to spring training to see what up. Hopefully with a new GM and owner maybe we can right the ship. Cannot wait.

bigsoftballfan Posted January 23, 2012 Report Posted January 23, 2012 We will see. It can't get worse.
shovel Posted February 19, 2012 Report Posted February 19, 2012 They are gonna suck this year. Last year, they were a farm team for the Phillies. I will tune in and watch the youngsters play though. Gotta give Jim Crane a chance; it will take his guys a while to get the ship righted. Not much to get excited about right now, but hope for better days ahead.
Guest beechnut Posted February 21, 2012 Report Posted February 21, 2012 Got my opening day tickets today and cannot waIt. Rodriguez will be dealt buy hopefully we can get something.

Nederland Dog 2006 Posted March 20, 2012 Report Posted March 20, 2012 It's a long, long, long, long shot but just think about it. St. Louis lost 40 HRs and 120 RBIs in Albert Pujols leaving for the Angels. Milwaukee lost 30+ HRs and 100+ RBIs in losing Prince Fielder to Detroit. The BIG SLUGGERS of our division are no longer in our division. Pittsburgh is on the rise, I believe. The Reds are gonna get better. And who knows what the Cubs are gonna do with their new GM. Yes St. Louis is the defending champs but it is very hard to replace 40+ HRs and 120 RBIs. Who said this young Astros team is just completely out of this division race before the season starts? You never know. 2 teams lost their big sluggers and you never know what might happen with a young team. We will see. Go 'Stros!
Guest UHCoog14 Posted March 21, 2012 Report Posted March 21, 2012 Astrid trade Quintero and Bougouis to KC.

Gonna be a rough year, but I do enjoy seeing the young talent make it up to the bigs. Kinda like Christmas each month with a new prospect at MM Park.
