I hear ya Dickie V., and yes I get the correlation. People have doubted THIS Ned team all season, and we have seen them mature into a team who could very well make the Regional Tourney again this year. I actually think Ozen has a better chance at beating Nederland than Central. Tuesday was only the 2nd time I've seen Ozen this year, and they are a very talented team.

To answer the subject: No.  LCM will beat them 307 to 1/2 at Nederland, and 5.4*10^7 to (pi/4)^2 at LCM.  Christian Wendt will score 680,000 points in the home game, with most coming in mop-up time in the 4th quarter.  The victories will be so one-sided, LCM will skip the rest of the basketball season and go straight to playing the Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference Finals (they will win in 6, then sweep the Western Conference champion).  Nederland, meanwhile, will be so ashamed of the loss, they will disband the entire sports department.  The loss of revenue will send the Nederland Independent School District into a vicious cycle of decreased funding and student dropouts, eventually culminating in the closing of the school.  All business and industry will be forced to leave the area, and Nederland will have to revert to a pre-Stone Age nomadic life-style based on foraging to survive.  The standard of living will still, however, be higher than in neighboring Port Neches.

Sorry i missed earlier post as to why Nederland will lose to both Ozen and Central ,my assumption is based on Nederland having to travel to play both ,home court advantage and minor adjustments will be made . But congratulations to Nederland on first half of district. :)

No problem. There is no time limit to respond to a post.  :) I was just curious as to why you thought that way, and home court advantage is a big deal in HS basketball. Someone posted on another thread how basketball is a funny game. They brought up that Silsbee beat HJ by 3 and WOS by 7 (at home), then HJ wins at WOS by 30+. Same thing happened last night. Central beat LCM (at Central) by 35+, Ned beat Central (in Ned by 17), then Ned squeaks by LCM (at the Bear's Den) by
2 in OT.
Point being that your comment about home court advantage has substance to it, and Ned will have to play a little better to leave Beaumont 2-0 in the 2nd half of district.
