The young Indians couldn't have picked a worse time to play their flatest game of the season. They lost to a very inferior Tarkington team that just played hard and took advantage of some Indian mistakes. Honestly, this loss gets laid at the feet of Coach Brew. Your team has a 14 point lead with 6 minutes to play at home and you lose the game. Poor coaching, it is what it is. To the three players suspended do to fighting last week, take a good look in the mirror boys because you own a big part of this loss as well. I said all along this young Indians team would be prone to losing a game that couldn't be explained and it happened, unfortunately. Footnote: the Indians dressed 7 tonite, 2 jv call ups, a player eligible for the first time this season, and lost a key starter (a senior) to grades. Those are just excuses. No offense Tarkington but this game should have been over at half time. I hope the Indians realized that talent doesn't always win. Sometimes it just comes down to effort and even the least talented player can play hard.

[/quote]Killed Cleveland on the glass and got a ton of extra shots. The Indians were so sloppy on defense. Tarkington hit a 3 with 6 seconds left and the Indians missed on their final possession to lose the game.

The horns are also down 3 players and two starters due to injuries throughout the season. Several bench players came in tonight and put in quality minutes. In the fourth quarter it all came down to who wanted it more and as we have all heard "hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard" Congratulations to the Horns on a big win!

Wow, huge upset indeed!  This loss should prove to everyone that the indians are just not nearly as skilled as they have been in the past. This should bring them back down to the reality that they are extremely beat able and so is anybody else in the distirct.  Coaching, or lack there of will always get questioned in cleveland especially when you have 3 headed monsters on the team, but it aint like he got out coached by Rice.  It will be interesting to see how this indian team will repond.  Nice job longhorns!

They weren't inferior the other night sounds like a bunch of excuses to me. Maybe you should just face the fact that Cleveland isn't that good this year and this probably isn't the last time they will get beat in district play. The horns also had two starters out due to injury (not fighting) and a key bench player also on the shelf due to a concussion. This game would have been over by half time had the horns made some free throws they should have beaten Cleveland alot worse.
