We e-mailed all of the ADs in the area for their numbers, but as you can see we didn't get numbers from all of the schools.  Brookeland is in that set.

I have had heard several explanations of it.  My latest understanding is that the .5 is a count of students who attend half days who are counted as "1/2" student.  So if you have an odd number of those, you will have a ".5"

That ".5" has been the subject of SEVERAL jokes....most of them in pretty bad taste.
