Boys don't yall know it ALWAYS looks better on paper.... 8)

iT'S PROVEN, even though it may look really BAD on paper, results can be greatly enhanced by mountains of smack.  If not enhanced, at least entertaining.  Just ask BMTSolja or one of the WOS cronies who always over-estimate their team abilities.    ;D ;D ;D  At least at BH we have clear and accurate expectations.  ;) ;)

Dayton is still the team to try and beat ,both of you should just focus on that, cause that will be both of ya'lls championship game! ;D ;D
I still think Crosby will be the team to beat. If they have anything coming back to support those twins, the only thing that sucks for them is a new coach,so accourding to how much he changes will make the difference.

Dayton just lost a 3 year starting QB and the RB they had last year isn't going to carry the team. goodluck though ;) Maybe your kicker can QB
dayton has 14 starters coming back and will be a much better team in 2012. This was the weakest senoir class at dayton since probably 2005. Dayton only has one kid I know of getting a scholorship for football this year and it was to a small school. Dayton returns basically their entire offensive and defensive lines and will be much more athletic at the qb position. Dayton is also returning 3 starting line backers. The rb who you are refering to has started in 6 playoff games and if he plays running back this year will be a 1000 yd rusher. Now what excactly is bh returning. Oh yeah almost forgor dayton is also returning the best kicker in the state.
This is the same rhetoric Dayton spews every year nothing new ;D BH will not be returning anyone and will get beat like a drum we are one less team the might Bronco's need to be concerned with ;) Goodluck on your on going 90 year quest for a state championship ;D

PS. if you want to come see the 2011 District Championship banner stop by sometime. I think we were 40 point underdogs to the Broncos last year though the great minds of the Bronco faithful :D

What's Daytons record agaist 20-4a, hmmmmmmmmmmm  22-1?
And before last year Vidor hadn't won a playoff game in 46 years but that didn't really change much. Keep relying on your history man. Crosby and Montgomery did and see where it got them.  8)

About the newspaper article

This reporter does not know Dayton football at all.  First, the offense was not Senior heavy, it was Junior heavy.  Second, Swayzer is an offensive tackle, not a receiver and third Williams wasn't even in school last year and we lost Dillingham in the third game with a career ending injury.  So I would not believe anything this reporter says, including his prediction for how the district finishes at the end of the year.
I happen to know this reporter.. He happens to be a very nice guy... Yes he got some stuff wrong... BUT in his defense he was new to the area at the time... He works diligently at trying to get as much exposure for the kids as possible in the paper.. He is all about the kids...I know this because we work as a team so to speak to accomplish this. There are many things going on behind the scenes, that he and I are working on to get these kids in the paper. It's his prediction.. we all have one. And we all predict our team will finish 1st.

No offense Octfeb but he probably should have either not written the article or he should have done more research.  Those mistakes were pretty big.  Did you have an opportunity to see the article before it was printed?  It looks like it was written based on a magazine article that was published last summer before the season started.

Not that it has any bearing on the coming season, chances are we won't play Vidor anyway.
But, our reocrd since 2006 (which was the first year were in there district) against Vidor is as follows:
2006 Dayton 42/Vidor 7
2007 Dayton 40/Vidor 0
2009 (Bi-District) Dayton 28/Vidor 14
No I did not... I don't proof read his stuff.... But if you follow him.. He has been pretty much mistake free sense then.... He is the one who pushed for the boys going to the weight lifting tournament a few weeks back to be put in the paper and online ;)... He always pushes for youth accomplishments to be published. Like Andrew Walker short stop for the Broncos was named to Rawlings All Region Texas Team. He asked me yesterday if i had a picture of him... so he can try get it in the paper....

Nicely put octfeb. Let the man voice his opinion. Its up to the broncos to prove him wrong.

if he knew what he was talking about and who our players were then his opinion would be welcomed by oldrock and every other bronco fan. An opinion based on false information isnt much of an opinion. I mean when you have our starting offensive lineman coming back as a receiver come on. The kid is about 6"2 250 lbs if he was a wideout dayton would be scary.

    • That should tell everyone something pretty clearly. Does anyone really think BH is recruiting elementary kids, to get them to transfer in Jr. high? Seriously? Here is the "dirty little secret" about BH: Most people move to the district for a quality living environment to raise their young family, and benefit from the outstanding acedemics at BH. Even If all athlectics suddenly disappeared from BH, people would still want their kids in the district. If thats not enough to convince anyone, and BH really was determined to recruit, first step would be to have open enrollemnt. It is closed.        Yes, I get it, no one ever wants to give BH the benefit of the doubt on anything. Some of the accusations are beyond ridiculous though. This paranoia the BH critics are afflicted with is not just sad, its flat out laughable.
    • Opting is always an option. Are they considering any BC assistants? Highly qualified after that season they put up.
    • Be that as it may, only time will tell. Hide and watch. Don’t be surprised if the next HC hire uses his own recipe. That happens more than not historically. I am not arguing the point that Hooks & CT had a winning combination that could’ve been carried over. I’m saying that finding someone to do that is not going to be as easy as one might think. Tell me again why Saban’s replacement, who even has Saban’s assistance if he wants it, just lost another game to an unranked team and has taken the Tide out of playoff contention? Why wouldn’t he just follow the success of possibly the greatest college football coach ever lived?
    • We've acknowledged having 2 HOF coaches hasn't been like most other schools. So why everyone jumps to the conclusion it wouldn't work here is beyond my comprehension. I see it carry over with these other hires. Gilmer, Aledo, North Shore, Austin Westlake. Next man up that continues the system in place has instant success. Matter fact there was 2 rookie HC that won the state championship the same year we handed over the keys. Same book. Same recipe. Better ingredients.
