State should be the goal of every team.In reality it takes a ton of skill, great coaching and even some luck to be number 1 at the end. No one has won a state Championship in this district in Decades with CEK being the most resent in the 80's (I think) and Dayton going to the dance the most recent. Unless something fantasic happens I don't see any teams with that capability anytime soon. Untill then we will just have to listen to Dayton as they are the king of the 3rd round ;)

Looking @ Lonestar FB website DCTF 2012 pre-season all state kicker Mason Edmonson-Amarillo is nowhere to be found in any state kick records for a season or a carreer ???

[/quote]yeah its a joke. I like dc just to see all the players and teams but as far as rankings I dont take much stock in much dc says. I mesn how can a kid be all state as a junior and come back as a senior and not be consider the front runner.

This was in the Chronicle today and 19-4a lands two teams ;D

Chronicle honors top high school programs

Friendswood

111.5 points

Four different schools won the Chronicle Cup's Class 4A all-sports championship in consecutive years, but Friendswood returned to the top after winning in 2009. The Mustangs tallied points in 15 of 20 events to finish with 111.5, the only 4A school to reach the century mark. The soccer teams, which reached the state semifinals (boys) and region final (girls), accounted for 35 points, while swimming, tennis and volleyball had success as well.

Montgomery

92.5 points

Last season's 4A winner was again paced by the golf team, which won the girls state title for the 11th time in 12 years. The boys also reached state, as did the softball and baseball teams.

Stratford

73 points

Of the Spartans' points, 54 came from individual sports. That includes 42.5 points from swimming programs that earned four individual state championships and the boys team title.

70.5 points

The young school continues to impress athletically, earning points in 15 of 20 sports. The swim teams combined for 25 points, while all eight team sports ended their seasons in the playoffs.[/b]

Another former Chronicle Cup 4A winner, the Cubs dominated with their team sports. Six won a playoff game, with boys soccer, girls soccer and baseball reaching the region quarterfinals.
