Dayton usually has a really good defense and that is what dayton is known for. Last year we had a very young defense and it showed. As far as living on the big play the fact is last year dayton was playing without the best running back in the area and it caused dayton to throw more than they would like. All that said dayton usually scores quick because they can.

Nothing bad about that ;D WOS has been doing this for years, but when you find the team that can limit those big plays is when you get into trouble.

I dont know if you noticed but vype somehow left out the fact that sc is not a grind it out offense. Also last year it was bh big plays that beat dayton. Tyler newcomb was unstopable that game.
[/quote]And us trying for a 54 yrd fieldgoal instead of pinning BH deep in their territory with less than 2 minutes to play.

True, but BH plays clock controll if we slip a big play in it is usually because the opposing D got fooled ;D I guess what I'm saying is BH will not be throwing the 70 yard bomb 6 times a game trying for a quick score. Something else Vype left out was they acted like our QB would be airing out the ball this year, oh and he shrunk again is is down to 6'2"  ;D

You're correct. We had two receivers with over 600 yards and two others that had over 400 yards. And a QB who threw for over 2000 yards. We are not a grind it out team but I would not consider that living off the big play.
