Doubtful, I think DC will pick Dayton #1 every year regaurdless of what information is out there just because of history. I don't think there is a clear favorite to win district this year and believe that Dayton, BH , Crosby or Summer Creek can take the district. Dayton looks to return the most players from last years team, but no big names that I see (Beside the kicker), but another year under thier belt will make them better. Don't know about Summer Creek, but i'm sure they are going to be pretty good. Crosby is the one I'll be keeping my eye on with a new coach and them dang TWINS!!! ;) BH will still be good on Offense, but they are going to need kids to step up to fill all of those Defensive holes. It's going to be a fun year, This is the most competitive this district has ever been and if you don't come to play then there are the [b]King Wood Park[/b], Humble and CEK that might just steel one from ya.

So would you rather have a good regular season like brenham or sneek in like ozen and have more playoff games. Dayton doesnt base their success on regular season wins. Now playoff wins is another story. While brenham has more regular season wins than dayton the last 10 years dayton has more playoff wins the last 10 years. Since neither dayton or brenham have a title I will take the playoffs.

Exactly...  We went undefeated in 42' but couldn't win a state title, cuz our classification didn't have a title game.  Just getting there isn't enough any more.  We're in it, to win it!

If winning state is the only thing that makes a football program a successful, some of you are being very unrealistic. I feel sorry for your coaches and athletes. There are varying degrees of success, anything from turning a young person's life around, teaching life lessons, and from winning one game to winning state. "If you are not first, you are last" does not ring true to most people.

State should be the goal of every team.In reality it takes a ton of skill, great coaching and even some luck to be number 1 at the end. No one has won a state Championship in this district in Decades with CEK being the most resent in the 80's (I think) and Dayton going to the dance the most recent. Unless something fantasic happens I don't see any teams with that capability anytime soon. Untill then we will just have to listen to Dayton as they are the king of the 3rd round ;)

Just did a little research  :) I show that Dayton is 18-11-1 all time against BH. Also BH has a 506-286-29 lifetime record for 65% win percentage while Dayton has a 259-216-20 lifetime avearage for a 56% win percentage.

What does all of this mean..............Nothing, but it's better than being bored ;)

Yeah and no telling which one is right it looks like our first meeting was in 1935 where BH won then we tied the next year and then Dayton went on a 7 game winning streak until 1953 we came back alive ;D

Its cool looking at all of this stuff. I also found that BH won the Reginol championships ( which is far as they could go) in 54,55,58,62,63 and went undeafeated in 40 & 41 and couldn't go past bi district (Similar to the last 4 years :) )
