I sincerely regret the UIL's decision with DV. I was really hoping the Pirates would land in 1A. I now hope the powers that be in DV appeal the decision! Can't hurt, might help!

Couldn't deweyville opt to play in Div. 1 of 2A and go back to the old district?  You can't raise the number for 1A because there are already more 1A schools in spring sports than any other classification.

I think the opt up is only for classification purposes, not for division purposes.  I could definitely be wrong but I think that is the case.
