BADSANTA Posted February 6, 2012 Report Posted February 6, 2012 I will tell you this, I bet Joe Sigler puts them on the schedule before Todd Sutherland.m
stevenash Posted February 6, 2012 Report Posted February 6, 2012 It means NOTHING. You all have screamed repeatedly how the tougher Silsbee schedule did such great things. Tell me now that it mattered that much.
stevenash Posted February 6, 2012 Report Posted February 6, 2012
SteveNash, I'd be willing to be my change, your money, and everyone's money on this board that HJ wouldn't play with in 30 of Yates this year. They have 5 Shawn Prudhomme, 3 DC Stallworths, and 4 Kristen Smiths. Yates is young as well. Next it is a FACT they will WALK thru 3A ball. Silsbee, HJ, Sealy, and Waco La Vega better make the best of this season. Next years Yates will resemble their team from the back to back years. I'm not riding their jocks, but HJ plays too slow and Silsbee is way too small. Manvel is ranked 2nd and they won't play with in 18 of them. I'm not saying no one should be scared of them, but when your high school team is full of AAU players what do you expect. Their bench would win compete for state in 3A this year.
The Cavaliers beat the Heat a couple of nights ago.l And stop with the betting stuff. You havent come through on any betting offers yet. Talk is cheap. Once you play Sleepy for $, I will happily respond to an offer that you make.

Yes, they are kids and if they played 50 times SE Tx could come away with 2 or 3 wins, but you gotta kidding otherwise. HJ struggled with Kingwood Park AT HOME. and Kpark would lose to Yates by 25. Yates has the athletic bodies, not one, several, to cover HJ's stud who is normally a matchup nightmare. Plus isn't he a Senior?
Is leading the entire game considered a struggle? Is Yates beating Wheatley only in the last 5 minutes of the game and then Wheatley losing to Central considered domination?
maybe I was at the wrong game. Did they play twice this yr? I saw one where HJ was down 3 end of 1st qtr to KPark and up by 1 at end of 3rd and game in doubt until final 3 minutes. Which game were you at?

" In doubt" is a relative term and you can call it that if a team is up by 2 or 20, so that wont float. From my perspective, when it came down to winning and losing the game, there was no doubt. And you can rest assured that, unless you are on the staff of HJ, you are not qualified to suggest you have a better understanding of this team than I do.

Maybe their theory is more games means more opportunity to play and function as a team!

The coach/staff are MUCH better qualified to determine the HJ schedule than people on this board. Five consecutive years in Huntsville suggests (accurately suggests) that the HJ schedule lends itself to the team doing well at playoff time.
