No more EC and Kountze games  :(...I don't like the EC district...
I don't like it either.

Not only did East Chambers, Anahuac and Hardin get moved to another district, they were also moved to another region, Region IV.

Here is the basketball district that these three will play in:

Anahuac
East Chambers
Hardin
Houston YES Prep East
Houston YES Prep N. Central
Houston YES Prep Southeast
Houston YES Prep Southwest
YES Prep Gulfton

There was a Houston Yes school in Warren's girls district a few seasons ago..there were several games that they cancelled on us...the ones we did play were not competitive contests...EC,Hardin and Anahuac will need to loaded up their non-district schedules in order to be ready for the playoffs...

This is a good news-bad news thing. The prep schools are horribly inconsistent about even showing up for the games, and in the past the level of competition is questionable at best. Good news is that its in Region 4. Probably the easiest Region to emerge in Austin out of.  ;)

I agreed.  Need to stack up on preseason games.

HEY, Anahuac and EC looks playoff bound now.
What do you mean by "now'? EC has been "playoff bound" for as long as I can remember, maybe 20 years?
With the new district, it looks like an easy road to playoffs whereas before your district was much harder to win district because all those hard teams you guys always played in that district which was probably rated one of the toughest 2-A districts in Texas and I know you're a proud team with all that winning tradition but now East Houston will know and hear about the mighty Bucs from across the river because now you're playing out of the backwoods of Texas and playing those charter schools but I feel it will be more of an advantage to EC to continue to feel good about going to playoffs against these new teams. Whew!
