Joel Lafleur PN-G (89-92)
I remember LaFleur droppin' 50 a couple of times.
When Lafleur was a freshman and Straface was a senior, Lafleur had to bring the ball down the court against Lincoln’s full court press because Straface could not handle the ball as well.  Straface was a very good shooter but not the all around player Lafleur was.

That may be true, but this thread is not about who is a better player than the next guy, it is about who is considered to be clutch players. And I believe they were both clutch players.

Immanuel McElroy - PA Lincoln 98

Waste a few of those guys on Waltrip closer to 21 than 18?
He was not quite 21, when they won state, but he was an 18 year old junior, which caused problems the next year for him....He could really play nonetheless.

Point guard named Hunter at Houston Kashmere.  Been quite a while back but he was amazing and I have never seen anyone like him since.
Yeah he was a good one...goes by the name BLUEDOVE3 now and he cost my dad a state title by getting injured in a PLAYOFF WARM UP GAME!!!! >:( >:(... ;D ;D

Troy House-Ingram Moore

IMO, House was an overrated player. That guy shot an average of 28 to sometimes 40 times a game! You shoot that many times, you are bound to average 30 or more a game like he did.  ::)

Very few people realize that he was drafted (the old territorial rights) straight out of high school by the Spurs but spurned their offer in order to pursue his chosen career.  Not many with the discipline to pass up big$ and stardom in order to properly raise a family.

OMG i almost forgot about him. I played with that dude in high school and years before. He was the best shooter i've seen come through Vidor
in a while.
I would have to go with George Williamson as being Mr. Clutch for Vidor. When the game was on the line, there was no doubt Coach English was going to him.

He was after George. He was only a sophomore when George was a senior. And if i remember right Cole was not to far behind Williamson on the ppg.

I remember Noah very well. Watched him play all 3 years. He was special in his own way, but when it comes to who I would want taking a last second shot to win a game, IMO, George is the man for that. I really don't think you can go wrong with either player.

Earl Evans, P.A. Lincoln.  6'8" tall and could play all 5 positions.
Earl had many, many, clutch games and did things that boggled the mind.
No 2 ranked High School player in the Nation behind none other than Moses Malone.
No one even close to Earl. What a player.
Yes, Cole was a starting underclassmen on that senior laden Vidor team that Beat Ozen 3 times in 1 year.  After all of those seniors left, Cole came into his own as a clutch player.  Although that team really wasn't as good as the year before, Cole commanded attention close to the end of games.

Noah did not start on the team who beat Ozen 3 times in 2004, but he did come off the bench for quality minutes. George did not even start on that team as a Junior until later that season. Vidor made the playoffs in Noah's Soph and JR seasons but fell one game short of the playoffs his senior year. He did not have a lot of help his Senior year.
You have to.  That's what that team will be remembered for.  Back then, Ozen will still OZEN.  8)
